Randomly thought about this. I haven’t paid much attention to it but it seemed like this attempt at making the league work was going better than the first. I’m wondering if this whole situation will kill off the XFL for the second time.

It was going better than the first time. the XFL has already said they will be back next year. Unless something completely drastic happens, I would expect that to be the case.
Truth be told, I enjoyed the XFL games more than I did a lot of the NFL games. The level of play isn't the same, but it was more entertaining to me.
The product was much better than the first XFL and AAF. The games were fun to watch and some of their ideas will get traction in the NFL. The scoring was low at first but it had really started to pick up before it got canceled.
Here's a question... if the NFL adopts any of the XFL rules, do they have to pay any type of royalty or fee to the XFL?
Their ratings were falling off a cliff. They went from over 3.3 million average viewers in week 1 to 1.4 million average viewers in their final week. For reference, the AAF was averaging 2.9 million viewers when it went under. I bet the XFL is done.
If you think that then you haven’t been following the league very closely. Vince sold off enough WWE stock to fully fund the league for 3 years and he is absolutely committed to it. And yes, the ratings fell but everyone knew they would and they were still in the acceptable range for the networks.
