He was good enough to hang around a couple of years in the pros....
That makes him pretty good in my book.... He didn't have anyone that could catch it if he hit them in the hands and had to throw out of the pocket due to poor protection... But you can believe what you want... Played baseball if I remember ... Great athlete.
