Back when Babe McCarthy was handing Baron Adolph Rupp his jock-strap.
When a skunk was left under the seats of the visiting UK team in the old gym now named for da Babe.

Tonight's win was sweet, sweet, sweet.
Thanks, Stans and guys for a rare win in the Rupp Arena.

albeit by instruction from my Dad...who thoroughly enjoyed tonight's game...I won't bore you with the whys or wherefores concerning that instruction; trust me, I grew up hating UK, even when a schoolmate of mine went there and was Final Four MVP.

My senior year, we were playing UK at the Hump for 1st place in the SEC. We all had newspapers and we were pretending to read them (back in 1885, errrrr, 1985, this was still fresh), then we wadded them up and threw them on the floor. Well, I was so fired up I kept on throwing papers on the floor until this policeman grabbed my arm and politely asked me if I wanted to spend the rest of the game in jail. I said, "No sir, Officer sir" (note to dubmass players and coaches- when speaking to police officers, always be polite and say "Sir" alot). I calmed down and watched State beat Kentucky 82-69. Turned out to be the last win of the year.
