Seriously, Herbstreit makes a ton more than an assistant coach or coordinator (except maybe Malzahn) in college with his ESPN, radio, and endorsement deals. Besides, he has no experience as a college coach of any kind. This is bunk.

I think the Spielman thing is also garbage. It may be his alma mater, but again, he does not have the background of a college assistant coach.

It wouldn't be a stretch or that hard For Herbie to coach the QB's.

He would make a definate splash on the recruiting front.

Even if it's ********, don't y'all just love coaching search season?

I would be willing to bet Herbie is pulling in over a million at ESPN. They're not going to pay a QB coach or an O-Coordinator with ZERO coaching experience that kind of money.

By stretch , I meant his ability to coach QB's. It would be a stretch for him to take the job.
Although Clay Travis has him on record saying he wants to coach. Even mentions that he told Meyer(sp) that if he ever coached again, that he wanted to be his QB coach.

He ain't never leavin' this place so you can definitely count him out. Unless he can coach remotely from here.***

If the article is true, could it mean that Meyer suffered the same fate as others that MSU has beaten?<div>
</div><div>It must really be a terribly demeaning thing to be bested by State ....</div>
