I can already tell... whoever is behind this needs to take over the high school basketball broadcast as well. Pretty impressed by the professionalism for a Mississippi broadcast.

it sounds like. Probably enough freelance production talent around the Jackson metro area this weekend to put together a truly professional product. (there are 3 or 4 Jackson residents who do ESPN and regional production on a regular basis.)

Young & Rubicam (Y&R), Cellular South’s AOR since 2008, will be the executive producer of the 2010 program while FOX Sports South will produce and televise the high school football rivalry games.

“We’re looking forward to building on a very successful first year of programming as Cellular South engages consumers in new and exciting ways,” said John Morris, managing partner for Y&R. “We’ve assembled an outstanding broadcast, film and production team to showcase this dynamic content and give football fans in the South an opportunity to enjoy some of the most spirited high school football rivalries around.” from RBR.com[/quote]

This game was produced at least as good as any other Fox Sports college football game. Very well done. And enough to totally embarrass the defunct Jefferson Pilot/Lincoln Financial/Triple Dave special broadcasts.

And our own Matt Wyatt did his usual excellent job. My only problem was that in the Jackson area at least there were about 3 times they cut away to a full 1 minute commercial right in the middle of the game and we missed a few plays.
