If true, which I'm sure it is, he is gone. Our fans and recruiting writers are getting clowned by him. Some people never learn.

He is showing his mother the campus. While I do feel that Ole Miss will sign him, he is supposed to take his dad to Starkville tomorrow night but that could change during the in-home visits tomorrow.

Fool me once, shame on you

Fool me twice, shame on me . I think the only ones who have been getting the runaround in this whole deal is the media people who report for MSU ( Steve, Marcello, etc)

SEC Sports Line ‏<s>@</s>SECSportsLine Confirmed: For what it means Chris Jones just walked in at Kosciusko vs Houston game tonight dressed in MSU gear. <s>#</s>msstate <s>#</s>sec <s>#</s>hailstate

This was 7 hours ago, does this ease your nerves? Let the guy take his visits and quit worrying about it all. He's going to choose whichever school he wants to go to, end of discussion. Also, he is not the only one on visits this weekend, Robert N. is at LSU, Tony Conner is at MSU, and the list goes on. I'm pretty sure all these guys already know where they want to go, but they are just taking these visits to make sure they have made the right choice.

Thanks for the info Charlie.

I agree. Let the guy look around, enjoy this opportunity and be completely sure of his decision. I don't blame him one bit.

Can't believe Yancy is stalking recruits at 2 am. Also why would a recruit go to

Visit a school at midnight?

ETA: I'm not doubting he went, but why 2 am?

Arrived at 2 in the morning according to Yancy

Coach34 better be right on this one....I havent seen him make such a bold prediction as CJ will be a dawg and be so confident about it....

Very strange. Especially when there is plans to have in homes today starting @ 10 Am. I think we won't have to wait til Wed on this one.

He had a BB game last night. He got there late. Yancy didn't get his nightly phone call from the football staff until very late bc they were talking to Jones. So That's why it was 2 am when he reported it. I said all along I thought we hold Jones unless he went back up there. He's trying to convince mom now. He's gone

Here is the thing on that. Chris, or his camp, must be telling both sides what they want to hear. I know he has told some of our players that he is coming to Ole Miss, and obviously he's told some others he will be at MSU.

The one thing we know for sure is last week when reports came out he was visiting Oxford, he denied it in the media up until he made it to Oxford. This week he told someone he was going to Oxford Friday and MSU Saturday for unofficials. After that came out, he had a "change of plans" only to actually show up in Oxford last night.

The good news is Wednesday will be here soon enough. I would be curious to know if this week's misdirection was part of Coach's rumor, or the grand plan. From the interviews with Jones, it seems like he and his family are good people, so I have a hard time believing they are participating in some elaborate prank. I guess we will see Wednesday though. If he stays in Oxford through Sunday, I think that'll be telling.

The thing that keeps popping up to me is the fact that he wouldn't have a reason to lie to Ole Miss people, but I could see plenty of reason, given the local pressure, for him to lie to MSU. Anything is possible, and maybe it's all some elaborate sabotage prank. Those just rarely materialize.

I compare it to Tony Conner in the reverse. His local pressure is from us, so if he was telling two stories, it would be more likely that he would lie to us given the pressure. There would be no need for him to lie to MSU or Bama if there were multiple stories out there. To Tony's credit though, he has refrained from showing his cards pretty well.

ETA on Jones: I forgot to list the third possibility, which is that he's still truly undecided, but he feels the need to tell people what they want to hear in the meantime. We will see soon enough.

<TBODY>
</TBODY>

Welcome to the Mississippi Sex Offender Registry web site, which lists registered sex offenders in Mississippi. Once you have read and acknowledged the disclaimer below, you may search the database by a specific sex offender’s name, or obtain listing of registrants within a specified distance of an address, or obtain a listing of registrants within a specified Mississippi ZIP code. Also, you may use the map application to search your neighborhood or anywhere throughout the state to determine the specific locations of registrants.

[h=4]Conditions of Use:[/h]DISCLAIMER & INFORMATION As mandated by federal legislation, the Mississippi Sex Offenders Registration Law was enacted requiring the Mississippi Department of Public Safety (MDPS) to maintain a registry of persons residing in this state who have been convicted of certain sexual offenses or attempted offenses. Individuals included within the registry are included solely by virtue of their conviction record and state law. Persons who have been arrested or charged with a registrable sex offense or a child- victim oriented offense are not required to register unless the arrest or charge results in a conviction. This information is being made available on the Internet to facilitate public access to information about persons who have committed sex offenses to enable you to take appropriate precautions to protect yourself and those in your care from possible harm. MDPS has not assessed any specific risk of re-offense with regard to any individual prior to his or her inclusion within this registry, and has made no determination that any individual included in the registry is currently dangerous. The reason for providing this information is to make it more easily available and accessible, not to warn about any specific individual. MDPS updates this information regularly, to try to assure that it is complete and accurate. However, this information can change quickly. You are cautioned that information provided on this site may not reflect the current residence, employment, school attendance, status, or other information regarding an offender. The information in this registry is provided to MDPS by criminal justice agencies and representatives. MDPS compiles and provides this information but does not independently confirm the accuracy of all information. Furthermore the database is compiled based, in part, upon information provided by the convicted offender and such information is not independently verified by MDPS. As such, the registry may contain erroneous information. It is your responsibility to make sure the records you access through this site pertain to the person about whom you are seeking information. A positive identification of an individual cannot be conclusively established by comparing name, date of birth, social security number or other information with that provided in this registry. Comparisons based on appearance may also be misleading, and cannot establish a positive identification without some possibility of error. Positive identification of a person believed to be a sex offender cannot be established unless a fingerprint comparison is made. This information is made available for the purpose of protecting the public. Anyone who uses this information to commit a criminal act against another person is subject to criminal prosecution. The sale or exchange of sex offender information for profit is prohibited. Misuse of this information is a misdemeanor and shall be punished by a fine of not more than One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00) or imprisonment in the county jail not more than six (6) months, or both. Any person who provides information to a law enforcement agency regarding a sex offender which the person knows to be false is subject to criminal prosecution. This is punishable by a fine not more than Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000.00) or imprisonment in the State Penitentiary for not more than five (5) years, or both fine and imprisonment. To correct erroneous information in the Mississippi Sex Offender Registry or to report a change in sex offender information, including a change of address, contact the MDPS via e-mail, mail or telephone at the below listed number and addresses. Let's just hope Chris remembers who was there when SOUTHERN MISS was telling him he wasn't C-USA material.

Its beginning to appear he has fooled our coaching staff repeatedly. There is some chatter on 24/7 that there is a good chance he does not leave Oxford until Sunday.

i dont think Starkville is on the agenda either

I don't think in homes will be on the agenda. Or a trip to Starkville later today.

Hope Im wrong, but why would you arrive at 2am on a Friday only to leave the next morning? Looks like he is there for the weekend.

Sounds like to me Mullen isn't going to be getting his in home. No way Jones will be back. If he is there all weekend, this is a hideout to get him away from all the pressure back home. I was buying in to C34 a bit, but now I just don't see it.

I don't think he's undecided. Just trying to convince mommy. A 2nd visit to OM seems to mean that is where he will end up.

I have some hope that Jones is just tickling their balls a little so he can set up his own hat dance on ESPN, and that he has always been solid on State.

However, if he does indeed flip, I just don't see how the NCAA will turn a blind eye to this. It has to be some bona-fide SMUesque shenanigans going on in Oxford.

Keep in mind this is the last weekend of recruiting and Yancy will bombard us with misinformation to get a reaction to show to CJ. Be mindful of what you say on here.

Some of y'all are some dumbasses. We have some good things going on in Starkville; players to the NFL, 1st class facilities, 3 straight bowls and some great coaches. Who have been on Jones for a long time. But some of y'all think because Yancy posted something at 2am; Jones is gone. Dumb!

have an in home/ lunch scheduled in a couple of hours with CJ and the fam. If he doesnt show that should be reason for concern. Guess what happens in the next few hours could tell how this thing is going to play out .

Clever way to keep the local pressure at bay.

Wish I were. Unfortunately, just a realist.

I think your just an effin ***** like many of the other bitches on this board. I am so sick of MSU fans being so cowardly on messagboards.

It is cowardly and pussified to not be willing to take the chance of being let down. You and a handful of others on here I am certain have a very difficult time dealing with life on a day to day basis. Never taking a chance, scared to fail, scared to state an opinion, etc...

The thing that scares me the most is that it seems to increase every year. Why in the hell would I want my son or daughter attending classes at MSU if this is the trend in the student body? I really am 17'in sick of it.

I'm out till Thursday - Taking the kids to Steamboat. Bashin the fresh pow pow will be a wonderful break from this.

To all the pussies - Wednesday will be a truly remarkable and orgasmic day for you. I would say try not to worry, but I know you guys better than that.

MSU Football is going to be very strong next year and the blocks are in place for even more success moving forward. Someone who is beginning to be a good friend of mine thinks that State is in the best shape long term with a solid foundation that hasn't been seen before. For him to say that speaks volumes.

In case I pull a Sonny Bono, Peace out my Bulldog Brothers!

Does CJ seem like the type of kid to blow off coaches

and stand them up for visits? I don't think so.

Even if we lose him (I still think he signs with us) the kid's handled himself with nothing but class thus far.

Hail State.

Sounds like it was Yancy misinformation. Other sites are reporting Jones is nowhere near Oxtown.

Talty reported earlier the he was going to take his Mom to OM, and his Dad to MSU because he wanted them to see both. Sounds like he was right.
