Offering Price and Market today is the most obviously desperate move that they could make.
This is why I hate recruiting in the internet age. These high school standouts can't make their decision known without grown people losing their **** and bugging the everliving f-ck out of them.

you would have seen that Market has been on the verge of getting a MSU offer for a couple of months (even when everyone thought Brassell was not even sniffing MSU)

I know exactly who Market is being recruited by in the SEC and how many offers he had up until today. I'm a big Kendrick Market fan. Kid plays his butt off and has excellent speed. I don't know him personally but know some family. If he'slike the folks I know, he's a great kid.

He also hasn't had offers even from CUSA schools because of his size. Based on that he, just like Price, is a real reach as an SEC recruit. If we (UM) are offering him?....it's to get Brassell plain and simple. If y'all were already,it's from an evaluation that absolutely nobody else, including CUSA and Sun Belt schools in the area, have made....and is it not apparent that Brassell was considering MSU all along?...regardless of what "everyone" thought. Market was not on your "A" list. I just don't believe it.

Personally, I think at least one of either Brassell or Singleton is worth offering another guy you wouldn't normally offer. I think it's absolutely desperation on our part to try and get guys that ,by all accounts, (like a commitment, for instance...yes, it happened, screw what else you're hearing, it happened) are top of the class type signees and I might say both if we didn't badly need some other positions besides the really small, fast guy positions Market and Price would attempt to play. We have enough of those already (damn it).

The reality is, it's not desperate for us or you. It's one thatmaybe, maybe Vandy would make in the SEC if they thought they had anychance. USM or Memphis would, too,IF they they knew they would get the stud, too. It's a caculated decision made trying to get a stud player or two. No more, no less.

Whether Ole Miss fans want to admit it or not, somebody on that staff has an eye for defensive talent.
