Phills have Oswalt
Yanks have Thames
Giants have Whiteside
Rangers have Moreland

Great to see MS talent doing so good.

And yes I fully expect Cliff Lee to be a yankee next year. For the most part Cashman let it be known after last off season that he was holding off on his next big signing until Cliff Lee became available

With George dead, Cashman looks so much more mortal out there, and Yankee fans are already screaming for his head.

It doesn't hurt that Cliff Lee is 4-1/2 hours from his hometown (and offseason home) and that Nolan Ryan knows a thing or two about the true value of an ace pitcher. Yankees may get Cliff Lee (after all, buying championships is what they do did best), but it is pretty clear that the Rangers will have first say in the matter.

That doesn't even make sense. Did they bury all of George's money with him? Cashman hasn't even had a chance to do anything since George died so not sure what you are talking about. I can also assure you Yankees fans are not calling for Cashman's head.

I would be shocked if Lee isn't with the Yankees next year. Supposedly that is where he wants to be. Just curious, if the rangers outbid the Yankees for Lee did they buy him?

You think Brian Cashman was the sole "brains" behind the need to bring each and every hired gun each season? George had the majority of the personnel decisions. And now he's playing poker with the Bahr.

Given that a perennial bottom-feeding team traded for Lee and showed they can be competitive in their own right (with about 1/4 the payroll of the Yankees), I wouldn't at all considered that they bought him . . . and they won't even attempt to outbid the Yankees in the off-season. There will have to be other factors rather than just the $$ that keeps Lee here, and the Rangers have that working for them. Also, you would be very wrong about the dissatisfaction that Yankees fan have with Cashman right now and the performance of some of his "investments." We can start with that stellar manager you have there. But, then again, when you take a sports franchise and turn it into a mercenary rotisserie, it is always nice when karma smacks your ***.

First of all George finally gave Cashman full control about 6 years ago, and since then he has done a hell of a job at stocking the farm system back up, that cannot be denied. Did George have a say in the decisions? Sure, but he wasn't making all of the decisions like he dud in the early part if the decade.

I never said they bought him this year, I was just wondering if they bid more for Lee than the Yankees would they have bought him? The Yankees will obviously offer himmmore, and like I said ge supposedly wants to play in NY. He is good friends with Sabathia, and Sabathia has all but said he would be shocked if Lee wasn't in the Bronx.

And please point me to the Yankees fans that are calling for his head. I listen to a lot f New York radio and have yet to hear that, so just show me where I can find what you are saying

Finally, I give full credit to the Rangers this year. They did a hell of a job putting together a damn good team this year and I do hope they win it all. Will make for a great story

Where is the sarcasm script when I need it... I care less about the Yankees, just that they don't win.
The Rangers might be keeping Lee...

And sure the Rangers might keep Lee. I just don't see it. Hell, inwill admit it would be good for baseball for a him to sign with Texas, I just don't think it will happen
