So we made two visits with him and two with his agent apparently and he chose Michigan.
Another football school has beat Pope for another recruit. Alabama , Auburn, and now Michigan!
I think so…he will get some system players (3 point makers) but no elite-alphas.
Then I guess we better get used to Sweet 16 or less exits from the tournament.
I wonder what Pope's plan is on rotation next season? If he is telling these kids they will share limited minutes then that could be a big problem.
Guys this would have more than likely been a bad commit to take. Hes going to explore the draft with a VERY good chance at getting the assurance he needs to stay in. If he had committed here, we would have lost other prospects and then he would have bolted.

Whatever Pope is telling all these portal kids he needs to reverse course because it’s NOT WORKING.
Sheesh Michigan is just launching money at their athletic programs. At least he won’t be going to another SEC school
I would like to apologize to my fellow fans because the tuition check I wrote for my daughter to attend Michigan in the fall obviously led to this.
90% chance kid never plays a minute for Michigan. He’s a projected first rounder, why lock up a spot and allocate money to a kid who more than likely won’t even be there? It’s common sense once you know his intentions to not scare other people off and take that money off the table. Time will tell but Pope dodged the bullet here in my opinion.

To be fair, if the predictions about Mitch and NIL are true, then no sales pitch will be good enough.
