Article sounded like if he gets any kind of guarantee he's gone. So first round definitely gone.
Probably first 5 picks of second round gone.
He doesn't have the draft clout to skip the combine so he'll definitely play.
Measurables will be a factor also.
Good for Mich if he actually comes but his commitment will handcuff them with other fours until the deadline.

Sheesh Michigan is just launching money at their athletic programs. At least he won’t be going to another SEC school

90% chance kid never plays a minute for Michigan. He’s a projected first rounder, why lock up a spot and allocate money to a kid who more than likely won’t even be there? It’s common sense once you know his intentions to not scare other people off and take that money off the table. Time will tell but Pope dodged the bullet here in my opinion.

Somebody should tell our coach this because he put the full court press on him

Then I guess we better get used to Sweet 16 or less exits from the tournament.
Which team thus far has gained without losing in the portal?
UCLA gets Dent but losses Mara.
Bama get Bowen but losses Diabate.
Have yet to see a team I fear for next season solely based on portal additions.

Pope went to Chicago to meet with him on Monday. Obviously he was interested and appears to be a miss.

Article quotes him as being a Dusty May fan from watching FAU.
People can choose to believe it or not but he said what he said

Whatever Pope is telling all these portal kids he needs to reverse course because it’s NOT WORKING.

To be fair, if the predictions about Mitch and NIL are true, then no sales pitch will be good enough.

Imagine being a 20 year old kid trying to decide where to play basketball. 1 coach offers you a rich tradition (most of which you’re too young to remember) and another coach offers you $2 mil. Which one would you have taken?
