Fresh Market and Mcdades Duling are stocked..
Go support a River City boy, Linus Hall, and buy his beer.
They have the Pale Ale, Hefewizen, Dos Perros, and Hop Project..
My favorites are the ever changing Hop Project and the Dos Perros..
I bought a case and half of the Hop Project, its a pretty damn good beer...
<h3 class="post-title entry-title">
Hop Project #37, Return of the Fresh Hop!
</h3><div class="post-header">

</div>

It's back! Our annual Hop Project made with fresh wet hops, straight
off the vine and shipped by Fed Ex from Yakima, WA, to our brewery
door. This year we featured a rare variety, a Japanese-origin hop
called Sorachi Ace. To our knowledge, we are the only brewery to ever
use this hop in a fresh hop beer. I'm not going to spoil anyone's
experience by telling you what I think - you'll have to try it for
yourself! I do think it turned out pretty amazing.

Bottled the 4th week of September.

I'm pretty sure the Dos Perros was the one that I liked a lot and kept coming back for 2nd's, 3rd's......15th's. Those 2 oz shotmugs were a tease.

for the holidays. If you've never tried their Dos Perros, go get you a 6'er. You will not be disappointed. It's pretty much all I've been drinking since I moved to Nashville 5 years ago. Not a huge pale ale fan, but Yazoo makes a pretty good pale ale too. Dos Perros is by far their best beer.

If you like hoppy beer, look for Caldera IPA in Nashville. It's in a can. It's one of my favorite IPA's and the best beer by far I've had in a can.

to try the St. Patricks Best ale and Legbiter ale, that showed up late and ran out early, they have that in the Jackson area too.

I haven't seen them at Kroger or McDade's but they are at the beer store in Madison. Personally I considered them to be the best beers I tried at the festival.

I pick of a sampler 12 pack of Yazoo everytime I go to Nashville.
It is a way to keep the good stuff coming.
Glad I can get it closer to home now!

Now if we could only get Terrapin (the best brewery in the South) beers in MS.
It's gonna take a change in the law unfortunately. Luckily, I have family in Birmingham, where it is now available, and they bring me a bunch of Rye Pale whenever they cross the border.

I have a good feeling about next year with the success of Craft Beer Week, especially its recognition from the governor, this year. If not next year, I'll be surprised if it's not passed in 2012.

I travel to B'ham once a month and spend about $150 for beer every trip. I've got Hopsecutioner in my house at all times. I can find everything I want in Alabama except Stone (Arrogant Bastard and Ruination) and Dogfish Head. We will probably have Stone before Alabama because of their cap on bottle sizes excluding 22 oz. bombers.

Terrapin was distributing in AL before their law was passed. We can't get their Hop Karma IPA, Pale Ale, etc. because our distributors are terrible.

We can not get SOS, Andygator, Jockamo IPA, or Restoration Ale here in Jackson. Delta Wine ans Spirits right across the MS bridge on I 20 has them plus Chimay and many more. I hit them and Taco Casa up on every trip to see the family in the River City.

Where in LA, and how long have they been there? I stopped at the Delta Chevron about a month ago, and I was really disappointed in their selection (i.e. they didn't have many IPA's). The only IPA I had ever heard of was SN Torpedo, and I also took a chance on Amnesia IPA, which was a brown ale with "IPA" on the label. I have to depend on infrequent trips to TN and FL for my Stone brews (or homebrewing clones).

They can order what you want.
Ask for Chris Barkley the wine and liquor manager @ 318-633-9760 or cell 318-372-8111.

It is owned by Allen Kitchens, from a big bulldog family...

I'll be in Memphis this weekend. Anyone know where I can find a good variety of six packs to pick up on the way back to MS? And a group of us are thinking of heading to the saucer downtown for the game saturday, is there a better place to watch the game?

Go by a fresh market, you can make your own 6 pack. And yes, there are better places to watch the game than the saucer.

There is one on Union near downtown. They have New Belgium beers and the Yazoo Brews.
I know the Walgreens in West Memphis on the Missouri street exit is a Mecca for beer.
