SC is not a good football team. If we lose this game then I can say with certainty that the program has gotten worse under Stoops. Yes worse.
If Howdy Doody would have been named the coach the facilities would have still been built.
The freshman QB better be ready to play. As Coach Stoops says, "we're just getting started."

Sure, we have some A-hole fans. Everybody does. But this guy is just a fake Cock ( aka a *****).
The only advantage we have is an excellent field goal kicker. Sadly, we rely on him heavily due to stalls in/near the red zone.

Actually a ton of people care about women's basketball and college baseball. When you're losers in both programs it's easy to say no one cares. When you are a fan of a college program...you pull for your team in ALL sports. If only fans of that university you pull for cares about the programs...it's fine with me...if no one else cares, oh well...we're having fun and loving it!
It's been established more than once, that sports popularity in the SEC is: 1. Football 2. Baseball 3. Basketball , because we're in Kentucky , no one gets the accurate information on SEC fan interest . If you haven't attended SEC baseball games ,down south, then you don't understand the fan interest!
You would give a rats *** about baseball if you had a program. On the subject of basketball, we continue to build our men's program and totally dominate you already in the women's program. You basketball nuts care about track and field or golf? We dominate you there also. Sad to have only one sport that comes and goes before you know it.

Some of the things that make recruiting a little easier at USC - much larger, more passionate fan base, better local HS talent, better facilities. Add to that a great head coach recruiter assisted by no less than four former national assistant coach recruiters of the year that are absolutely working their tails off. 2018 class already shaping up to be one of the best in the country.
Be sarcastic now, be in awe in about three years. I'm so glad I've got more than a one and done corrupt basketball program to get excited about each year.
We're not "football only" fans, we're Kentucky fans. Beating South Carolina in basketball is nice and all but who gives a flip!?!?! The football game is what matters. Fans like yourself who would take the basketball win over the football win are the minority. It's posts like that which get us all the guff from the rest of the SEC. This is the South, and it's football season. Enough said.
Kentucky is a baseball state. Highly competitive high school ball. We just have the Royals Single A affiliate here in Lex, the Reds AAA in Louisville 45 minutes up the road, and the Reds themselves an hour away. Lexington is Reds country. UK has been up and down in baseball, and high school ball is more widely followed. We just have other baseball options here we focus on as a community.
You all aren't building anything in men's basketball. Nobody cares about women's sports. South Carolina is a pretty bad college all around athletically and academically.
I'm a uk fan all around too. Also seeing how most UK fans prefer to have a good basketball team I think I'm in the majority. I even remember when UK hired coach Cal all I heard around campus was other students, like myself, saying thank god I thought we were becoming a football school, glad basketball is good again. As for getting guff from the SEC I really just don't care I really don't.

I hope you defense is good enough to stop our offense because it won't be pretty on the other side of the ball.

I've been a KY fan for fifty years and can say that this is a BB driven fan base. They live it every day and not many even know or care about any of the other sports UK has. Unlike the other SEC schools that feel this way about their football team. Sure the interest is there when we win, but if not they can ignore it and talk about BB.

It's amazing but with the times and pressure to win..I can see a shift to more of a football culture here in KY. Being known as a football school is NOT anything to sneeze at.
Muschamp wanted to be 3-1 and 1-1 in the SEC. That narrative would have had people talking, would have justified their recruiting and would have give him some juice. This was a big loss.
