Sad that the beautiful young conservative woman from Alabama lost her life. I'm sure there's a devastated family tonight in the wake of all this. Gunman apparently knew she was the Conservative Campus Student's President in the midst of an ultra liberal school. I've been through Providence and while not a large population center, it is a highly congested metro area. It wouldn't surprise me if there are counties in Mississippi that have larger land areas than the whole state of R.I. I'm sure Texas & Alaska have some. It also wouldn't surprise me if the killer is long gone and maybe not even in the country. Surely our beloved MSU has a better security & camera system than Brown does. If not, they better get on the ball.

The white girl from BAMA I think, was getting a B.S. or M.S. in engineering from an IVY League school. She's not missing.... her parents have likely taken her body back to BAMA for her burial. The guy who was killed, apparently was well set to enter medical school. Other than that, don't know much about him. I understand now that Brown University didn't want a large security camera presence on campus like Utah Valley U. had. Otherwise, the perp would have already been identified by a friend or family member. I personally hope MSU would welcome a large camera presence at least on all the entrance/exit doors of every building and on every street corner in every direction.

Perhaps he was referring to the interview her parents did where they said they were told by authorities that she was targeted because she was the president of the young republicans? I understand the strong desire to not want that info out, but it's already out there.

The fact is that 11 people were randomly shot. 2 of those 11 people were killed. Who knows how many others just missed being hit by a stray bullet.
The only thing that was “targeted” was to hurt / kill as many people as possible….same as always with these things. Any rational person following this story could reach that conclusion in about 5 seconds.
