This week is busy at work, so I'll bore you with my observations early and let them die as they move down and then off the page. I most likely won't watch the SEC Tournament games in Atlanta, but I will record them. As with many SPSers, the pain of a personal minute by minute viewing is more than my electronically augmented, mechanically and biologically modified old guy heart (St Jude carbon fiber mitral valve, 2 by-passes and Medtronix pacemaker) can stand. Also I tend to cuss at the TV during basketball games and I hate myself when I cuss, so it is easier to wait and watch the rerun if needed. There is no way I could go over and watch the1-3 games we will play inAtlanta.

I still love the bulldogs though. My desire to see any MSU team do well is greater than antagonism toward any coach orgroup of players, soI stillhope as much as I can that this team pulls together and makes a good run through the tourney. There is still a part of me that believes there is more than enough talent in our roster to win the SEC tourney. Honestly, the SEC (west or east)is just not all that good this year, so we could run through if luck or circumstance is with us. The coaching during game time is adequate if playerdesire and intensity (heart) arethere. Believing this,I have a huge uncertainty as to what the desire of this team is. I hope they are willing to put out whatever it takes to win. We'll see.

There is the most slim of chances we will see NCAA in round one after the SEC Tourney, but that remainsmy hope, regardless. Failingthat I would be happy to see the guys play deep into the NIT and then move on to whatever changes we see in the organization next year. I absolutely believewe have the talent to move deep into the NIT if that is what we get anddependingon that huge question mark of desire and intensity of play.
