lol
Anyone that's been around this site knows Rambinman. He will never agree. Private through and through. Blinders I tell ya!

Whiner! Get better. Don't make your inability to compete our problem. Don't try to weaken the strong private programs in the name of parity. That is discriminatory. Work harder. Don't take the easy way out which is to weaken your competition. Other public schools have proven that being competitive against private schools CAN be done.
If you read their arguments, 100% of them are basically against them having actual competition. If you believe this, my question would be why do privates whine about being multiplied or success factored up?
Whiner! Female reproductive organ! 10 yrs ago when you got your bloody multiplier, I said at the time that the whiners would return. You can't help yourselves! And here you are whining like a baby because private schools won HALF of the state titles this year. Pathetic.Whatever
Your trying to hold on to the unfair advantage with recruiting. Let all the public schools recruit. You still haven't answered how 331 privates can will at such a rate compared to 1188 publics. How does threat happen? Recruiting that's how.

Public schools lead 3-0 in weapons events this year, two this last week.

You know what's class, using an intentional misspelling to refer to Catholics. I pointed out a reason folks choose private schools, and you demean the religion of billions. Now that's class
I would prefer HS sports not turn into semi-pro sports. To me the draw of HS sports is the community aspect, the fact that we're there supporting kids who are just us but some decades later. Kids that went to the same schools and played at the same parks. Or if you have left where you grew up starting the same sentiment elsewhere. So I don't want to see a free for all from closed boundaried schools.Bones your so right. There excuse is calling us whiners! Big whoop.
How about we keep the recruiting to the town the schools are in for all athletes. They can recruit all they want for academics but athletes would have to be within the school district just like the publics. That would even the playing field. We could even get rid of the multiplier.
What? There is no "district" theres just a 30 mile boundary.Bones your so right. There excuse is calling us whiners! Big whoop.

The excuse of getting better is ridiculous. Non-boundary schools are limited to their kids!!! We can get better, but when the private schools go out and get better players it's irrelevant the work that we are putting in with our own kids. High schools athletes don't improve at an astronomical rate. I know many good programs with great coaches, but you can't do much about teams having better players. Stop being so naive about the situation.
Well sure, I'm just trying to establish what a private schools "district" is supposed to be since that doesn't exist currently as a classification.Publics have boundaries like you didn't know.

It takes a special kind of arrogance to compare the misspelling of Catholic to your joking about weapons inside a school. It takes a special kind of POS to try and spin it to play the victim now.You know what's class, using an intentional misspelling to refer to Catholics. Crickets on how 331 privates can win all those state championship ships when there are 1188 publics schools in in the state? The privates haven't answered that yet.
My kids are in a public school - I can't afford private school, but I can afford to live here.It takes a special kind of arrogance to compare the misspelling of Catholic to your joking about weapons inside a school. It takes a special kind of POS to try and spin it to play the victim now.
Cool story bro.My kids are in a public school - I can't afford private school, but I can afford to live here.
Wish I could do both for several reasons. None pertain to athletics.

I don't think it is either. I think separation isn't going to happen and it's a bad idea. I'd still like people to say how separation is going to happen, and why it's a good idea.It means people choose private schools for many reasons. Safety being one. theology, community and education. It's not just athletics. There will always be small percentages of folks who move little Jonny about for the wrong reasons - both public or private. But that's not how rosters are built. It simply is not.
We could discuss crimes in certain environments involving children.......if you really would like to. These crimes typically end in millions of dollars of tithes given to families with the agreement to no longer discuss it.It's a fact of life. We can even keep track for this school year if you want a larger sample size to see my point is accurate.
It's apparent he is not much of a numbers guy, although he has no problem throwing around inflated ones.Ok Corey, I'll take the bait. How many state championships have the privates won compared to the publics?
And I am not sure exactly where you are getting your numbers from, but here's a start. The link below lists all of the IHSA member schools and their enrollment. It shows 810 total schools, if I counted right, but it's probably a good place to start.

I'm just going to ask you directly:It's apparent he is not much of a numbers guy, although he has no problem throwing around inflated ones.
I think most private schools don't want to separate. BUT, if the IHSA were to separate private schools into their own playoff divisions, why would private schools want to stay in an association that is governed by a prohibitive public school majority? Why stay in an association that has been hell bent on WEAKENING private schools at every opportunity? Why would private schools want to remain in an association that blatantly discriminates against them?I'm just going to ask you directly:
Why would the privates want to separate, how does it help them, and what AD/coaches want to separate?
Does anyone of influence in the Catholic League agree with you? Serious question.I think most private schools don't want to separate. Given your accusations here private schools would be insane to want to stay in such an association... the two options I see (please let me know if I am presenting a false dichotomy) are that either your accusations are spurious, or private schools are winning overall due to the IHSA.I think most private schools don't want to separate. No idea. I would hope that at least a few of them would have the stones to stand up to to the IHSA if the IHSA were to mandate separate private school divisions.Does anyone of influence in the Catholic League agree with you? Serious question.

See I don't think it's so much a public vs. private thing. I think that's an easy thing to shield yourself behind. I've been around this board and have read your thoughts on this enough to think it's more elitism than anything else.No idea. Is it elitism when the public cabal of bones, corey, lweastdad, HHSTF, et al are calling for separation?See I don't think it's so much a public vs. private thing.
