The first half saw several lead changes with RU eventually establishing a 3 point lead just before half. I thought there was hope for the game / looked forward to the 2nd half.

The 3rd quarter was a beat-down of monumental proportions....reminded me of the old days (e.g. WVA 80- RU 3; ND 62 - RU O etc.). It seemed like it would never end. IU scored 28 straight points. The Bataan Death March seemed more friendly.

But then as the quarter was coming to a close / a flubbed punt turned into 6 (have tow watch again to see if we made that xtra point or not)....it morphed into L'ville (06) or Mayrland (14).

I was SHOCHED that we came back. My emotions were spent from the roller coaster ride we were all on. Yes I would have liked to see Rettig (if for no other reason than for most of the third 3rd quarter Laviano was not able to generate any O). I couldn't understand why we were still rotating our RB's when it seemed as if only Martin provided a burst / gained yards (James did score on a long run...Hicks was basically silenced). I still can't grasp why RU can have a formation when Carroo / Agudosi play at the same time (of course Carroo has to be healthy....but he was for most of the game).

Regardless, the game seemed more fragmented than most games that ended with seemingly 3 different halves.

Congrats to RU...congrats to our players who never gave up.

Here's hoping we establish ourselves / WIN the "SCARLET BOWL" next Saturday.
