If you remember, an organizer for the woman's march in DC, Linda Sarsour, said you can't be a zionist and a feminist. Well, a zionist from Hollywood responded:

Actress Mayim Bialik Blasts Feminists for ‘Disgusting’ Silence on Muslim Countries’ Treatment of Women

GrokNation, the Big Bang Theory star responded to Palestinian activist Linda Sarsour’s recent claim that a person cannot be both a Zionist and a feminist.

“Zionism is the belief in the right of the Jewish people to have an autonomous state in Israel,” Bialik, an Orthodox Jew, wrote. “I am a Zionist. Feminism is the belief that a woman-driven movement can bring about race, class and gender equality and that women deserve all of the rights and privileges afforded to men. I am a feminist.”

The actress specifically called out “the left,” who she says “needs to reexamine the microscope they use to look at Israel, and we all need to take a step back and remember we are stronger together: women, men, lovers of peace, and lovers of freedom and justice.”

Bialik saved her most harsh criticism for feminists who ignore “atrocities against women” in majority Muslim countries.

“The question is this: Many countries – many Muslim countries, in fact – perpetrate atrocities against women which include: female genital mutilation, forced marriages, child brides, systematic abuse of women by the justice system, revenge rape and honor killing,” she writes. “Why is Israel held to a standard none of these other countries – whose offenses are, arguably more extreme – are held to? And why is belief in the State of Israel something that should exclude women – or men, for that matter – from identifying as feminists?”

“Ultimately, for a feminist activist – or any activist – to place the blame for policies made by a few people on the entire entity of Zionism and all who are committed to the idea of a Jewish state is irresponsible,” Bialik argues. “It’s disgusting, it’s insulting, and it’s wrong. It creates fragmentation in a movement that needs cohesion, needs to stand together for equality, domestically and internationally.”

CBS just renewed The Big Bang Theory for two more seasons, which will carry the long-running sitcom to its 12th season through 2019.

Why do some people think that liberals and democrats ALL THINK ALIKE? Do conservatives? I know very loyal GOP members that most on the right would dismiss as racist loons, but I don't automatically see it as the mindset of the ENTIRE PARTY! Isn't that exactly what nuts on this db bitched about liberals doing? Now you do it like 5-7 times a day!

Linda Sarsour was a key sponsor and speaker at the liberal woman's march in DC. That is a very, very big platform. She is not just some lackey off the street. They gave her enormous power and influence in the Dem party.

I would agree with you if she were just some loon off the streets. She is not. She is a power broker in the Dem party.

Here is the Dem's problem. They embrace Islam, which is fine. But a high percentage of Muslims hate Jews. The Dems embrace illegal aliens. But this impacts wages of another Dem constituency, unions and low wage, unskilled workers. Dems embrace BLM. But that ticks off police unions and officers across the country, including at the Federal level. Dems embrace affirmative action mainly for blacks and hispanics, but that ticks off Asians who are overwhelmingly hurt by these policies. Dems embrace political correctness on campuses, safe zones, trigger warnings, etc. This ticks off many, many Americans that don't live on the coasts. Identity politics doesn' work. It will implode the party if not corrected.

I guess even our humanity should be about political strategy? BIG difference between liberalism and party politics.

What religions do Christians pit themselves against in a lethal way? Nothing like Jews versus Muslims. Remember, Jewish, liberal Alan Dershowitz threatened to leave the party if Keith Ellison was named head of the DNC due to his anti-Semitism. Linda Sarsour is anti-Semitic as well. Division lines are being drawn within the Dem party as we speak.

As for Rush, he is a conservative. That is an ideology not not identity. Liberals, have a liberal ideology. But that does not pit one identity group against another perhaps thus forcing one group out or at least hurting voting patterns for that group.

Now, the GOP has a different problem. They've got populist conservatives versus establishment conservatives. It will be interesting to see how that turns out.

There have always been lines within the dem party (GOP as well), because people within the same political party or political ideology do not all THINK ALIKE.

Look at your party's nominee and POTUS. Traditional GOP man is he?

Mayim Bialik is right, although I hate to say it because her character is so crappy on BBT. In her defense, the first few episodes she was on she was great and then the people that run the series decided to make her character a boring lame-o instead of the hilarious female version of Sheldon she was in her first few episodes.

Among other things Linda Sarsour has said that Ayaan Hirsi Ali should have her ****** taken away. It's an awful comment directed at any woman but especially when directed at one that was subjected to female genital mutilation as a child.

Some...not all but some...on the left are failing big time when it comes to human rights and the way Islam is practiced in much of the world. Do women have rights or don't they? Do gay people have rights or don't they? Do people deserve the freedom to practice whatever religion they want or don't they?

Was the point of the last half century of crusading for these rights in the US because the rights are inherent human rights that should not be denied anyone? Or instead was it just to piss off conservative Christians that wanted their wives to not have jobs or that didn't want gay people around them? They pretended like it was the former but now I'm starting to think it was the latter.

Whatever. The genie is out of the bottle and we're not going backwards on rights like those. Defending one set of religious fundamentalists that deny rights after a half century of going after another set of religious fundamentalists for denying those same rights only makes them go down bad in history.

I admitted the issues in the Republican Party, Trump's populism versus establishment conservatives.

The Democrat problem is much more severe. They are politicking to different identity groups. This is not based on ideology but rather on identity. This will naturally result in putting one groups interest against another. Because they do not all hold the same ideology. In fact one group's benefits directly hurt another groups prospects.

You may not have intended this, but there is no comparison between sharia and Christianity.

Regardless of what is in various holy books, any religion at any point in time is just the sum total of its practitioners. Five hundred years ago the Christians were going nuts and today they're by and large sane and yet their holy books are exactly the same. Islam has a lot of crazy stuff in their holy books but if they can get to the point where they ignore the crazy stuff, like Christians ignore their crazy stuff, then they'll be lots better.

But just because Islam can get non-crazy doesn't mean that the multitudes of craziness in Islam today should be given a pass.

Can you point out the crazy stuff in the teachings of Jesus? Just curious. Jesus encouraged his followers to evangelize, but not to harm or injured in anyway. He encouraged peace and love, tolerance and respect. He taught forgiveness and generosity and helping the least among us.
Jesus hated war and in one famous quote said live by the sword you shall perish by the sword. Jesus had many women followers, which was anathema to that era.

With the birth of Jesus, he brought with him a new covenant replacing the 10 Commandments of the Old Testament. Jesus became our priest and it is through his teachings that we reach salvation.

I am at a loss in finding any crazy stuff in his teachings.

I cannot speak to the Koran since I have not read it.

It already has, and I don't want them to stop it. I want to see the Democrat party thoroughly imploded, never to grace us again with its hypocritical political correctness.

No one in Christianty "hates" their Wives or Gay people. Christians hate Sin, and Sin is going against Almighty God's instructions for righteousness. Christians never advocated Women not working or having jobs, and Christians reach out to Gay people often Praying for them or helping them out of their Sinful behaviors. The only thing you will not see Christians advocating is guiltless Sinful behaviors.

Jesus did come to bring us a new covenant...and while he did free us from the bondage of Sin, he did not erase the 10 Commandments. Those orders are just as valid now as they were written more than two thousand years ago, however the beauty of Christ was in his propitiation to cover our failures to live reliably by those Commandments. All of them still work however, they just by themselves ultimately can't "save" you.

Maybe a semantical difference, but Jesus replaced the law. It does not mean the Ten Commandments don't have value or should not be followed it simply means the road to salvation is not through the law but rather through Christ. Faith has replaced the law.

Correct. But the Law is not invalidated by Faith alone. Rather, our Faith animates the Laws of a righteous and Holy God, who by definition is perfect Justice and gives us specific Laws to follow in order for his perfection to be validated.

So we cheerfully embrace Almighty God's Law because we have Faith in it to be righteous and just and correct, and rewarding to us through our belief in Almighty God's ultimate Holiness and Goodness. Christ merely makes sure that as hard as we may try, no one is perfect under God's Law nor can they be.

Enter Christ, our perfect substitute, who saves us by Faith, then Grace.

I would argue the same reality for the Left...even though many of its supporters try to reject being placed firmly within its more radical ideas.
