Highly regarded 2026 guard Kingston Whitty commits to West Virginia

West Virginia has landed a major piece for its 2026 recruiting class as Atlanta (Ga.) Holy Innocents point guard Kingston Whitty has committed to the Mountaineers.
The 6-foot-2 Whitty is rated as a three-star prospect, ranked among the top 250 players nationally and top 50 point guards in the 2026 class. He has already drawn attention from a number of high-profile programs across the country but chose to continue his development in Morgantown.
Whitty brings a mix of speed, court vision, and confidence that make him one of the more intriguing guards in his class. His commitment follows a growing relationship with the West Virginia staff and a clear sense of fit within the program’s future backcourt plans.
His commitment follows a recent official visit to West Virginia, where he connected with the coaching staff and got a closer look at the program’s direction.
Whitty becomes the second commitment in West Virginia’s 2026 class, joining four-star Bella Vista Prep (Colo.) big man Aliou Dioum.
