That old boy who coached at Rice was older than this guy when he won the national championship, was he not?
He was 67 when he won the NC but he was only 56 when he was hired at Rice. If Mainieri wins the CWS this year he will match Graham's achievment.

He'll be 70 in year 3, not exactly an age where most men are bursting with energy. One has to question the decision to hire a coach who was
eligible for full social security benefits.
Whatever.....post you're replying to is absolutely correct. You would be absolutely tearing Powell or whoever apart right now. I admire our coaching staff for taking over a complete cluster#### from previous coaches.

It seems that every coach hired at Carolina is always taking over a complete clusterfuck from the previous coach.

Our sports teams must lead the country in eye test national titles.

I hope he succeeds, but until proven otherwise, it was a dumb hire.

Oh yeah, you're right, we should go ahead and sign him to a 10 yr., highly lucrative contract. Like all Carolina coaches, he just needs enough time.

Golly, guys, anyone with an ounce of baseball knowledge knows we are SOOOOOOO much better than our .167 conference win percentage. Like at least double that.

I know I’m right, but signing him to a 10 year contract is just dumb.
