Ha. Was thinking that the whole time I was listening.

Haven't even seen the pic, but banded water snakes are mistaken so often for cottonmouths that I would've bet money that's what it was.

Sent them the same thing on twitter. Sadly, people were saying it was a cottonmouth. Even worse was the caller saying that a cottonmouth and water moccasin were different snakes. My wildlife biology degree background almost had a stroke when I heard the caller say that.
