“Between cowbell times”? What does that mean? The only time we can’t ring is between when the center touches the ball and when he snaps it. Are we not yelling then?

I’m watching at a sports bar in Tulsa, so I don’t have audio.

You know what it means. When you can’t ring. It may be loud as hell but it sounds quiet on TV

I dont know if I'm getting old but.... it seems loud AF this year when the cowbells are going. More so than in past years.

We know the rules and abide mostly but damn it’s infuriating to hear our fan base ring pre snap when we are on offense and facing a 3rd or 4th down. Total lack of understanding the game.

The answer is not necessarily more fans and more cowbells. The answer is optimization of the existing cowbells. 99.9% of cowbell ringers ring their cowbell with the open end of the bell facing up. This directs the loudest portion of the Clang upwards and into the atmosphere. If all the ringers would ring their bells with the open end of the bell pointed at the field, the volume of noise would increase considerably. And we call ourselves engineering school!
