but I'd thought I'd share something that I saw today. I was on campus for softball, they recognized Starkville Youth Softball which my oldest participates in. I decided to see if the bookstore had some new 3X shirts in, and as I pulled into the parking lot, I saw this big tall black (no racist) guy getting out of his car. It was Chris Relf. I parked my car and got my kids out, and turned around to catch a look at him. Now, you know the parking lot for Barnes and Noble faces the west side of the stadium and all the banners. Relf reached into the car, and pulled his son out. I saw him point up at his banner, the picture of him from the 2010 Gator Bowl, and it was obvious that was a "That's Daddy" moment. Very cool moment I felt, glad I got to see it.

For future reference, if you feel the need to share a personal anecdote, make it more like this and less like adultery, violence, and elephantitis genitals.

One of my favorite bulldogs of all time. He'll probably be forgotten by many, but as far as sports go, being brought in to run an offense you know nothing about because the current head coach is an idiot and can't recruit, getting dragged through the mud in arguably the worst loss in school history, riding the bench under the new coach and being considered a nobody, to then becoming one of if not the winningest QBs in school history... It's one of the best stories I can think of. Team first guy who overcame a lack of talent by hard work to win at The Swamp and hand MICHIGAN their worst bowl loss in school history among offer iconic wins. Got his degree too. Hard to hate Relf. I wish we had some more guys like him.

Anybody that is a State fan that hates Relf needs to let me know because I will personally kick them all in the balls until my foot breaks.

I don't think we'll forget him anytime soon. Led us to three straight egg bowl victories. That alone should make him an all time favorite for all of us.

Wish I could have been there to see that. He is definitely one my all time favorite bulldogs. Have a great framed picture of him in the man cave throwing a TD pass.

I will always remember Relf as one of the great MSU quarterbacks...

he is one of the toughest players I can remember...He along with Wayne Madkin will always hold a special place in my Miss. State football memories...

I think he would have made a difference in this year`s Egg Bowl. Not saying we would have won for sure but ......

What I like about the guy is...

..since he was a 2 star afterthought as a recruit, there was no vulgar pageantry associated with his recruitment. Landing a commitment from Chris Relf didn't lure a dozen Rebel/Bear ******** to this board with sole intent being to troll, spread lies & act a fool in general. The guy flew under the radar, was summarily dismissed by the recruiting nuts. Yet quietly took care of business & went on to become one of the most prolific MSU QB's in Egg Bowl history. That's the part somebody needs to tell Chris's son someday.
