watching the replay some between Cowboy drives and commercials...we aren't doing a very good job of pushing them around...Dixon and Ducre are doing most of the work...lets see them drag the Auburn defenders around...

I can watch a few damn plays and get a good idea of the kind of push we are getting upfront, how we are fitting up with their tackles and LB's , and how are TE's give alot of effort and are quick, but they couldnt block me....

Auburn's front is going to eat us alive on Saturday...get your popcorn ready

1st quarter but they really did get it together and started blowing people off the ball. We have a semi-retarded scheme which allows the safety to come up and make the tackle every play at the line of scrimmage. That's the problem.

has one foot splits. That's not going to work in this day and age.

I was an option guy, so I always had bigger splits...your power running guys swear by smaller line splits...I always thought that was stupid and still do, because its so easy to clog up the middle that way..As a defensive coach, I would always funnel everything to the middle to avoid big plays..alot of defensive coaches like to try to make teams go east-ewest too much and next thing ya know, a 70 yard run slides down the sideline...its much more rare to see somebody go 70 down the middle of the field...

I also believe in wider splits because as a lineman myself, it was much easier to angle block than it was to blow guys off the ball...so much easier to create running lanes that way...I'm not saying Crooms is stupid for 1 foot splits, thats a helluva lot of coaches thinking, I just disagree with it...
