rick knew he had a good chance of being **** canned next year and saw the opportunity with no AD to play us. He gets his offer from keenum at 11 this morning and now has his security and a raise. Kudos to him and jimmy. I just hope he brings someone in to help him. Im sick of this ****...He still needs to look himself in the mirror and know just how close we are to being consistently better and much better in the post season. Just tweak it a little...get a new idea in there.

So you're saying that Clemson never offered him the job and this was all a ploy conjured up by Jimmy Sexton? Do you really believe some of the stuff you write?

Thank God for Mark Keenum and a couple of others close to Rick. He was definitely gone but they convinced him to stay. And yes, he was offered a 6 year deal but I am happy he decided to stay. Dr. Kervokian will be calling Caoch and his little group of so-called fans soon.

Stansbury has been Mississippi State's head coach since 1998. He led the Bulldogs to six NCAA Tournament appearances and narrowly missed getting them to a seventh this season when they lost the SEC Tournament title game in overtime to Kentucky. Stansbury is expected to make a decision on the offer sometime today"

even a little bit whether intentional or not that stans out punted his coverage on this one? He was on the hot seat and would probably have to make changes next year at a minimum all of the sudden our AD leaves and now stans has a raise and extension without having a good season or making changes?

How many times did Byrne or someone from the AD come out and make a statement during the Mullen search? Do you think Mullen was the first/only coach we offered?

Jeff Goodman from Fox Sports says "According to multiple sources, Stansbury was targeted by Clemson and
was set to accept the job, but a hefty buyout may have gotten in the
way of Stansbury leaving for the ACC."

Sorry, but I just don't buy the Sexton theory. I think Clemson wanted Rick, and I think Rick was interested. In the end, they couldn't get the deal done for whatever reason.

Sexton did play this perfectly for Stansbury. We are without an AD. It would be the perfect time to use a pay me or I'm gone ploy.

Like Stans you'll either get a bad draw or someone will sink a last second shot and you'll fall short of the Sweet 16 yet again.
