You know Boo Ferriss is watching every game; here's what he thinks. . .

Great job Rick. The different perspectives you're bringing, and especially this one, have been fun to read.

I had the privilege of going and listening to him and some other alumni speak about their experience at State and take questions from anyone in the crowd who would ask them.

There were a lot of impressive people on that stage, but I kept going back to Boo. He had a way about him that just made him feel like I knew him, and he was so genuinely happy to be talking to us and everyone in the crowd somehow knew that. He made a big impact on me. It's nice to see him watching our games religiously after all this time.

At home, mostly. I like to really watch and listen. Watched the first few innings with buddies at CS's last night. I wonder if Jackson-area folks would be interested in Friday nights games on the new big screens at the Hall of Fame....

Cleveland has always been accused of being a homer for various teams but he has always just been a homer for whichever in state team was winning in a given sport. I support that approach.

You really need to get out of the house Rick...and get a few miles in on the road...just a little exercise.

Such a great guy...

Coach Ferriss was my dads coach when he played a delta state. Met him a couple times. Awesome guy that my dad thinks the world of. Still keeps in touch when he has the chance. Good stuff Rick

Good stuff.

This was a great quote:

About shortstop Adam Frazier: “Man, that guy can hit. That one game at Virginia he went six for six. Six for six is good any time. Six for six is good in church league softball, but in the Super Regional, that’s hard to beat.”

I sent you an email yesterday, Rick.

I recommended interviewing an old-school coach about the CWS, just a different one. But I still think you'd at least get a kick out of the one I recommended- I do.

Great minds.

Also, well-wishes to Boo. I don't see him out and about as much as I'd like. That guy is probably still as sharp as ever.

YES to the big screens.

And seriously- why can't we get more writers like this? I'd much rather read something like this over the Twitter-crazed things I read.

I like Bonner, I just don't want him taking too many road trips with the others.

We got three new 80-inch high def screens in the museum, two on the floor and one in the scoreboard that sits right in front of the mezzanine level and 50 stadium seats. It's a great place to hold events. We're definitely going to have some football events this year.

Nice! Rube would be loving this.

Thanks, Rick.

Great to hear what a true legend thinks about all this. Loved the quote where he said that 6-6 was good in church league softball. And yes, I am in if you show Friday's games at the HOF.
