Didn't seem to hinder UTk.1. There is no glory in playing SC State; the players aren’t jacked, the staff can’t just get them jacked.
2. After mentally preparing themselves all day for a 7pm kick, they didn’t start until 2.5 hours later. That time is not spent maintaining that same degree of readiness; sorry, it’s not. Now, 2.5 hours later, not only do they no longer feel the same intensity, they have to play a game they don’t really get anything out of; just risk. (And now, in the aftermath, witness the whining by the fans because we didn’t destroy SCS like Ohio State destroyed Gramling. You want that level? Kick some into our nil fund. Pretty simple.)
3. SCS otoh, this is the highlight of these player’s lives. Big SEC stadium, loud crowd, chance to not only play but compete with an SEC team. They’re throwing down 110 percent, you best believe it.
Next week will be your ‘week 2’. Plus a gauntlet has been thrown down, not only by the Vanderbilt mouth, but by some of our program’s own fans as well. If I sense this team right, the former will get answered big time. Not sure they care much about the latter; they’ll be playing for themselves next week.
Was not aware there was a 2.5 hour kickoff delay in that non-hinder. Go ahead and clutch your pearls; just offering some perspective.Didn't seem to hinder UTk.
SC State sat through the same delay. The OL is terrible and Shula is averaging 17 points/game through 3 games. There were no storm delays prior to Illinois or VaTech. Was not aware there was a 2.5 hour kickoff delay in that non-hinder. Go ahead and clutch your pearls; just offering some perspective.
you right about answers this week cause Vandy is ave 41 pts their last 3 games. Go cocks1. There is no glory in playing SC State; the players aren’t jacked, the staff can’t just get them jacked.

Since everyone wants to just pile on you for this and literally no one agrees on anything here. I'll take the side with you. Tennessee didn't even deal with a delay at all. The teams that did - us, Clemson, and Georgia - all struggled with their opponents. Yeah, the opponents dealt with the same delays, but they are also all playing their Super Bowls for the year. Was not aware there was a 2.5 hour kickoff delay in that non-hinder. Quite evident if one just looks. I appreciate your comment but don’t fret over me my friend. There are those that have played the game and those that have just watched the game and the difference is obvious; I speak for and to the former in my comments and pretty much don’t care about the latter’s any more than they care about mine, aside from the redundant clutter one has to wade thru. They can carry on; it’s obviously important to them.Since everyone wants to just pile on you for this and literally no one agrees on anything here. I'll take the side with you. We also probably shouldn't have struggled as much, but we're far from the only one to do so, but a game against an FCS team that is ending after 12:30 PM shouldn't be the barometer for what we've "improved on" and where we're heading as a team.
