You need to watch Devante Scott's highlight tape-our new FB commit. It's unreal.

Not on youtube or anything but here's Scout's link. http://mississippistate.scout.com/2/949308.html

If you have a membership or borrow a password like I do you need to watch it. The guy is amazing. He'll be sought after hard by the big boys before it's all said and done. Glad to have him in the boat early and him WANTING to be here at MSU.

I think we can trust the coaches on this offer! Impressive film and Rosebowl is predicting he will be a high 3*... I thought I was watching Bump's recruiting clips!

If the kid isn't a 4star, it's because he is commited to MSU. If he commited to LSU he would be at least a 4star. I have seen 5 stars clips who aren't as good as his.

The kid is good, not great. 3 star sounds about right. He's quick and shifty. Tough to bring down, but he doesn't have 4/5 star top end speed. Good pick up though. There is so much MS talent this year, I really don't know why we would need to leave the state other than maybe a high profile QB and some DL.

Ferriday is a small, small, poor, poor town and I am sure he hasn't seen a real weightroom and workout program yet. Very impressive highlight tape.

I was just generally making a statement about the talent in state this year. No problem with his location. AssPirate.

"Cammie" actually grew up on Lake Concordia (smaller Oxbow lake S of St. John), but went to school @ Trinity.

He basically is Mr. Everything for Ferriday High. He ran out of the wildcat, was explosive as a receiver and is a great punt and kick returner as well. Here are his stats from last year from The Natchez Democrat.

Devante Scott, Jr., Ferriday (Athlete; 2,287 all-purpose yards, 21
TDs — 26 returns, 830 yards, 5 TDs; 93 carries, 674 yards, 7 TDs; 42
catches, 783 yards, 9 TDs; 79 tackles, 5 INTs, 12 pass break-ups at
defensive back; LHSAA District 2-2A All-District First Team at Kick
Returner, Athlete and Defensive Back)

The reason his receiving statistics aren't out of this world is because Ferriday doesn't throw the ball that much. And when they did, their quarterback was not very good.
