He is no different that Bill O'Reilly, Keith Olbermannn, Sean Hannity, Skip Bayless, Bill Maher or Colin Cowherd. I guarantee you his rating are as high or higher than they have ever been. Why? Because he is stirring the pot. Defending Auburn gets Bama fans mad and trashing us hurts him very little.<div>
</div><div>My own smallconspiracytheory is the same one a good poster on here said earlier today; he is turning the heat up for someone with some concrete evidencecondemningAuburn to step forward. That someone most likely is a State fan or someone involved with this from State's side. So by trashing us he is trying to "smoke out" some more info. Makes sense. The ultimate ending to this would be for him to build up Auburn fans hope just to watch them go up like an Atom bomb when he gets to break that news.</div><div>
</div><div>Listen to Finebaum for entertainment, not news. His opinion is based off attracting ratings and getting people, this message board being a great example, talking about his show.</div>

I hate I quit listening to him years ago...It is too much fun, and he will poke and prod enough to keep it interesting. I would pay to see Dan kick his *** though.

What the 17 are these people talking about. It sounds like drunk retirees calling in and mumbling about nothing. Then a meth head will call in an talk very fast and incoherent.Considering all the threads about the show today, I am trying to listen but I dont think I can handlethis shitmuch longerwithout drinking myself

Media only has what power the people give them.
Anyone listening to and spreading his vile **** deserves to look like the idiot they are.
He does everything for sensationalism...and everyone falls for it.

to the delusional football fanatics in the state of Alabama but unfortunately he is now being carried nationwide on satellite and is popping up on ESPN like he is somehow a "voice of authority" on college football in the South.

He met with an sales rep out of Birmingham who is a huge Auburn fan (level-headed as well) and they talked objectively about the whole Cam Newton ordeal, they then got to talking about Finebaum and he told my Dad that several of the frequent callers are paid to call in and make outlandish remarks to help stir the pot. <div>
</div><div>Has anyone else heard that before? I think that is extremely pathetic, but whatever makes you money I guess...</div>

I listen everyday. I cant stand him. He cuts people off immediately for having any opinion other than his. He completely trashes us, and agrees with AuBarn fans and then when a Bummer fan calls in, he trashes Auburn. The show is NOTHING about FOOTBALL, and Donnan, Dye, Stalling segments are a joke. I dont want any 17ing rainbow trout for Thanksgiving.

I lived in Birmingham for about 3 years and heard this several times while there. I know that he had theminvited tospecial events in the past. Callers like I Man, Shane, Charles, and I think there used to be a Jim from Tuscaloosa would all be invited and heard they were paid to bring in ratings.

This is what has been a little odd to me in all of this. Finebaum has been notorious for bashing Auburn and being an Alabama homer.I wonder why he chose Auburn's side in all of this. He could have easily taken the other side and stuck to his guns. The Bama fans would haveloved it and the Auburn fans would havebeen just as pissed. The ratings would still be there....especially sincethe story is taking place in the state. He likes being a prick....andhas done a pretty good job of it here lately.

He always said Shane was his brother-in-law.....but having seen what Shane looks like, I would have to say that cannot be true.

He rips Auburn 24-7 for the past umpteen years and now that Bama is a non-story he is hugging his stuffed tiger every night.

HE DOES NOT CARE how this turns out. He just wants you to listen to him...

And have you heard the regular callers? Sad people with no real life, sad show with noreal sports talkand a a sad hollow man pulling the strings to earn a few bucks.
