without stans we would be tsun - praying for an ncaa win. what you idiots don't understand is college basketball is 75% talent and 25% coaching. when you have both you are kentucky, cuse, and the others. how many coaches has the rest of the SEC schools gone thru looking for that ideal combination of great recruiter and coacher - everyone! get a clue, shut your pie hole, and cheer on the team like meo!

exhibit a - @ Arkansas. With a week to practice for it, everyone, their mother, cousin, aunts, uncles, unborn children, etc, knew the full court press was coming. The recruiter prepared for this how?

exhibit b - @ Ole Miss. Our Wooden finalist just got lit up like a christmas tree by a guy that cannot make a free throw to save his soul. He doesn't need to when he can go for 20/13 against us. We didn't look like we wanted to play or be there.

The only thing positive from these is that they won't hurt as bad as Akron, a HOME loss to a ****** TEAM.

We are now borderline NCAAT, sliding right down into NIT hell.

We have talent. I don't think anyone will debate that.

But I'm with Slickdawg on this- how do you not have your team prepared for the press? How do you not prepare for the zone against Ole Miss? It's not like this is 1920 and it takes 10 days to get info from one place to the other.

I understand that we are going to lose from time to time. But I do ask that we not lose because we are incompetent. And that's my problem. I shouldn't as a fan feel like we are screwed in crunch time because I know our coach is going to get out-coached.

Arkansas has looked basically ***-like since pouring 98 on us. Tonight was just another typical road game that we've seen over the years. Uninspired from the get go, let the lesser opponent get momentum and boom, there you go. Once a zone is established against us, we are forced to take long range shots and no adjustments are made. Same song and dance that will be a nemesis all year. The one thing I've liked about Stans over the years was preaching defense and rebounding but we got our *** kicked in 2nd chance points and lack of defense has been a problem all year. There's more talent on this team but they are missing thosebig ingredients that Rick's best teams were successful with. Ultimately, I'm afraid that's what will be our demise. It's almost like Rick does a better job with a lesser talented but tougher type team built around defense.

there is NO excuse for not being prepared for a game. If we lose to a better team, like when Kentucky kicks our asses in a few weeks, I'm ok with that, they have exceptional talent AND coaching. We are missing out on the latter, big time.
