I just have a feeling that people will put Ole Miss ahead of us preseason. And I think it is plausible that the Egg Bowl could decide the West winner. The fact that the game is in Oxford will make it difficult. Everyone is very excited about our potential for next year, but Ole Miss has very good potential next year as well. Next year could be a very big football year for Mississippi (minus USM), and I just hope that we have the better year.

I think the Auburn luck runs out next year. They'll still be a good team, but I don't see them repeating. I just don't see State or Ole Miss jumping Bama/LSU to win the west. I think we'll find a way to beat Auburn, but I just cannot see us beating Bama and LSU on their fields. They'll both be starting new QB's, but it won't be enough for us to beat them. Ole Miss will be touted by the press as contenders, but they'll fall flat on their faces like they always do.

I agree with your rankings so there's no need for me to type it all over again. However, I think we do indeed have a good chance of beating Bama in Tuscaloosa next year. They don't know who their QB will be yet (but he's sure to be 5* good), but I always think we have a chance to beat them. LSU? Maybe. We're long overdue but seem to be jinxed by that team.

In your final for real rankings, I don't think the Bears will be that high. But I do think that A&M will be hurting next year with Manziel gone, and now Evans too. And they probably won't have any better defense than they had this year, and that was one of the worst I've ever seen.
