We are probably about 15-120 from what I've seen and what @NateBauer has reported.
Well, that narrows things down.

I think it is actually refreshing, especially in the pro football, that a coach actually said what Bowles said instead of the normal BS "I have to do a better job." Bowles didn't drop the pass or miss the tackle. Call it the way it is and put on your big boy pants!I don’t want to see Campbell throw the kids under the bus.

Todd Bowles says Bucs' 'inexcusable' loss falls on players
Buccaneers coach Todd Bowles called Thursday night's 29-28 loss "inexcusable" and put the onus on his players to hold one another accountable and execute on the field.www.espn.com

I read one report that had us at 4th in the Big for NIL and I think 9th nationally. 4th in the Big sounds about right to me. But like you said/suggested you don't have to be number one if you use your funds to maximum efficiency.
FIFY.That’s fine, I’m just calling out all the perceived hypocrisy littering this board.
Think Campbell will be better in recruiting than Franklink simply because he won't be giving 500k to the likes of a Clifford or Deluca.
It’s not perceived, it’s real. For example:FIFY.
I can list at least 5 other coaches who would be fired if they were 3 and 3, they looked pedestrian in their wins, and two losses were as 20 point favorites.
Boo hoo for Franklin. Again.
How many years did BGJ get? It’s not perceived, it’s real. For example:
a high school coach could win 10 games with Penn State’s schedule…he’s terrible.
Campbell needs three years, we have to give him some time.
So you’re saying Franklin got fired for not living up to the expectations he created…got it.How many years did BGJ get?
He got fired because he could not win big games, was a disaster with roster management, couldn't figure out how to run a competent offense nor develop a QB. Beyond that he undermined his boss.So you’re saying Franklin got fired for not living up to the expectations he created…got it.
But you missed the point of my post you replied to…it wasn’t about how many years Franklin coached, it’s about hypocritical expectations. We don’t like Franklin so he should win 10 games because our schedule is so easy. We got a new coach, so he needs time to get to 10 wins (with an easier schedule). Do you not see the hypocrisy in that?He got fired because he could not win big games, was a disaster with roster management, couldn't figure out how to run a competent offense nor develop a QB. Bad example. Nobody expected Franklin to win 10 games in his first couple seasons. He was taking over a depleted roster. It’s not perceived, it’s real. For example:

Campbell hasn't started yet and has only 1 less BIG championship than Franklin. How many years did BGJ get?
It the schedule is easier, so shouldn’t be a problem.Bad example. Nobody expected Franklin to win 10 games in his first couple seasons. He was taking over a depleted roster.
Campbell is taking over a depleted roster and will need time.
Poor, poor maligned James Franklin.
No way would anyone one here have expected 8-4 next year with the schedule we have regardless of who we were losing. We were supposed to be OK with giving Franklin the rest of the season to turn this thing around, which the ceiling would have been 8-4 since there's no way in hell he beats OSU. 8-4 with next year supposedly being worse, being stuck waiting a couple years for Franklin to build back up to a team good enough to fall flat on its *** if it gets ranked too high.
This was best case scenario. Not 10 wins anymore. 8 wins and maybe 10 wins in a couple years or so.
So we take a short term loss next year for long term gains in the following seasons. I'll take that trade. Next man up, Mrs. Franklin. No way would anyone one here have expected 8-4 next year with the schedule we have regardless of who we were losing.
So the next man doesn’t have to prove he’s a long term gain, you just appointed him that? Great logic there. So we take a short term loss next year for long term gains in the following seasons. I'll take that trade. Next man up, Mrs. Franklin.
And you have appointed him a failure. So what. There is plenty of BGJ talk on the Va Tech board. We want to talk about our coach and our team here. F BGJ. F you.So the next man doesn’t have to prove he’s a long term gain, you just appointed him that? Great logic there.
I haven’t appointed him a failure. I hope he has phenomenal success, but silly me, I think he should have to show that he’s successful before we anoint him as an upgrade. And you have appointed him a failure. So what. Yes because Franklin lost so many games to underdogs. There would really be no way of knowing what to expect anymore after losing to NW and UCLA. Would have had to wonder which big underdogs would ambush the team next year.
2 out of 5 this year. Don't know how many it would've been if he finished the year.Yes because Franklin lost so many games to underdogs.
They both need to be held to the same standard but if Campbell doesn't get to 10 wins in year one or two I am not going to fire him. But yes at some point, probably year 4 if he is not beating any good teams and not getting into the playoff then you need to make a change. Franklin had a lot of time. He took over from O'Brien and in year 3 he wins the B10 championship, great. But then he never gets us to the playoff after that. I would have fired him after 2021. He had 5 years (4 if you discount the Covid year) to deliver a playoff run at the very least. Then in 2021 that year was just ugly. But you missed the point of my post you replied to…it wasn’t about how many years Franklin coached, it’s about hypocritical expectations. For better or worse both those players were more reliable than the people in front of them or, so we've been told.Think Campbell will be better in recruiting than Franklink simply because he won't be giving 500k to the likes of a Clifford or Deluca.
True.Bad example. Nobody expected Franklin to win 10 games in his first couple seasons. He was taking over a depleted roster.

My original question was
Your expectations for the new coach/staff?
so why is everyone talking about people who aren't here anymore?
There’s more to a career than one year.2 out of 5 this year. Don't know how many it would've been if he finished the year.
