Mine was sky diving even though I was connected to another person. The first 35 seconds or so was sheer terror (but very enjoyable terror). Once that parachute is pulled (that I didn't do) it's just 6 minutes of floating down to the Earth. You can see the curvature of the Earth and the corona of the Sun.
My friends kid wanted to do this with us at the time but you had to be 18 at the time and there was on parental consent. Zach is going sky diving next spring if I have anything to do with it.

2. Even if you're one of those wackos who believe the earth isn't flat, then I doubt you jumped out of a plane at or above 35,000 feet.

Sitting in the car in the driveway with the engine and radio off. It’s almost completely silent and pretty much the only place that quiet in my daily life. No sound of the AC/fridge/computer running, no kid/wife conversation, just pure silence.

Mountain Range close to FT. Wainwright Alaska. I was stationed at FT. Campbell Ky and we went to Wainwright for 30 days from mid January to mid February 1981. We spent a week in one of the mountain ranges for winter training and I walked out a little ways from camp past midnight and just looked around at the mountains with a full moon. It was quiet and serene. The temperature was well below zero 20-30° or so. Not sure about the wind chill factor but there was some wind. Most beautiful landscape I have ever seen.

The next year at the same time of the year we went to Panama to Ft. Sherman for jungle training. Left Ft. Campbell with a slight freezing rain in C141's and landed in Panama with the temperature around 95°.

I have never been scuba diving. I have done deep water snorkeling on a few occassions in my early to mid 20's in the Cayman Islands. It was absolutely breath taking.

I feel completely in control in the ocean as I am a strong swimmer but have a total irrational fear of sharks....so long story short though breath taking nothing about it is peaceful to me and I've come the the conclusion I will never scuba in my life or snorkel again for that matter....lol.

For me it has to be sitting in a tree stand just as the sun comes up and begins to peak through the trees. The woods are slowly coming to life with squirrels barking, birds chirping and if your lucky the deer moving below you.

Coming to Cats Illustrated and reading Rupps Rafters after UK loses to a mid major program in November would be a close 2nd.

Ranger School, Mountain phase, had a short break, noticed I could look out over the clouds and surrounding mountains. During extreme stress, to have that moment where I felt at peace with God and knew he would get me through that period of life.

Waking up early on Thanksgiving to start prepping the bird and fixins. Impending work seems to slow a bit, so that's not really on the mind either. Just a relaxing day with family.

Opposite of that is Christmas day after the presents get ripped open. Work is usually picking up after New Year, tax season, dog days of winter, etc.

Friend has a cabin at 11K elevation outside Fairplay, CO. Never saw so many stars.

Skiing related: Riding a lift alone through evergreens is magic on a nice day. Then sitting back in hot tub afterward with a beer is just so relaxing/peaceful.

We have a spot on the lake with an RV/Travel Trailer. Our spot is in a cell phone dead spot and we are right outside the marina where our boat is kept. Leaving the hustle bustle of work and city, going out there with my wife, starting a fire and opening a beer, smoking, getting the boat out the next day, then back to the camp for the night, it's our happy place.
