Then tonight, with a longer 4th, against a better defense, down only 1 point, with more time on the clock, you go for it?
I really don't have a problem with whichever strategy you choose, but the inconsistency there is striking.
That 4th down call made less sense than Orgeron's 4th down call in the Egg Bowl last year.
At that point in the game, I was thinking that your best chance to score and win was either to play field position, or give your defense a chance to put points on the board, or give them a chance to put your offense in field goal range, yet he goes for it. I'd have even understood it a little bit if it was 4th and 5 or less, but 4th and 15 when your offense has sucked all game and your defense, especially in the 4th, wasn't giving up ****? Makes no sense.
