Nance has said a couple times that his college career ended on this field in the Big XII CCG. Did he not play in the bowl game?

it's very awesome the Bengals are the squad coming out of the AFC

Zac Taylor, Joe Burrow and the rest are a very easy bunch to root for

I really hope that Zac gets a lot of run in the next two weeks. His steady leadership and great coaching have brought this team where they are today. Unfortunately, we're going to hear all sorts of run about Burrow/Chase and how the Chiefs gave it away.

Who would have thought Zac Taylor would turn the Bengals around faster than Frost could turn around the Huskers?

And it's just not Zac, Burrow, and Chase as that Cincy defense is really young and has been getting better and better as the season goes along. You can bet on one thing in the off season though, Cincy will concentrate on drafting some OL. If not, Burrow is going to get really injured in the next year or so

Agree, that's a young solid Cincy team. Also read they have a bunch of money to play with under the salary cap. If they get that OL fixed, they could be around a while.

I saw Scott Frost was trending on Twitter. Everybody bringing up the “yeah, but is he better that what we got” quote. And some saying we hired the wrong former QB as HC.

He had to make some things happen today. That line was far from impressive.
Some of it is the offensive design. We all should remember all of the hits Taylor took in Callahan's offense. The offense is designed for the QB to get his drop and then deliver the football after making and extremely quick read of the defense and who should be open. If the QB isn't able to find that first option, it can get ugly quickly against a good front 4. I keep hearing the O line getting blasted but we're talking NFL playoff defenses. They didn't get there by having a crappy defensive front.

I realize everyone likes to point at Burrow and the Rams pass rush but the overlooked group in the game will be that Cincy defense. They're not exactly chopped liver and have been getting better and better as the season goes along. Just a bunch of no names that could surprise quite a few people

Also it’s not necessarily the worst thing in the world for a team to have a weakness matching up against the opponent’s strength. Cincy knows what it’s like to plan around their mediocre offensive line.

Sometimes it can be worse to have strength vs. strength. If the opponent’s strength outmatches your own you’re in deep trouble because you haven’t dealt with that problem all season long. See Legion of Boom against Peyton’s Broncos.
