Yeah, but not only was it not a strong suit. It’s more like this entire season was built on a house of cards.

Welcome to the world of NIL. Do you try to spend with the big boys on starters, or spend 70% of what the big boys do so you can spend 30% on backups? We don’t have the funds they do. So we have to cut somewhere.

Not many teams could have sustained on defense with the injuries we have. Not to mention, Arnett has only recruited for half a recruiting season. Yeah I know some of the older players were recruited by him but I’d hate to be him with the holes we have. I do however, believe he should show a little more creativity in blitzing.

How is this any different for Lebby? Change the word defense to offense and it's the exact same situation. Hell, it's probably worse especially losing the best player in college football. Yet Lebby given no slack ?

All fingers point to Lebby, there’s no getting around it. If for no other reason, he is the head coach. When it comes to roster building he either got a lot of bad advice or he doesn’t know what he is doing. Either way it’s his fault.

We have may that we were counting on hurt. I noticed at the game that those who are playing are still playing hard and we are seeing more players joining the effort who were not playing earlier. Zach Arnett will be fine when he can sign a class and work in the portal next year. I am not in the critical crowd like some of you.

The difference is ZA had no control over depth. He didn't recruit this roster. We're a lot better on defense with all the injured starters back.

In year 3, Lebby is where the buck stops. He built this thin roster. Upper middle of the pack SEC if healthy, but huge drop-off from there.

I think the biggest part of it is having to be on the field every 2-2.5 minutes and the offense taking 70-80 snaps a game. It’s tough to go balls to the wall without a reliable 2 deep at every level.

Not that I am giving him a pass for how atrocious our pass defense is, but that’s the main reason I can think of for why Arnett isn’t sending more than 5 every play
