I remember giving the stink eye to everyone who talked smack to me after they got 10 runs ruled out of the SEC tournament then turn around and win it all.
I remember getting talked smack to me after complaining in WS game threads about Lem's BP usage and how we were lucky to overcome so much BS decision making. And then he proceeded to prove me right over and over aGAIN in subsequent years and everyone eventually came around.
Good times.
I sure do. It was a terrible drive to get there, almost impossible to find a decent hotel room and hot / humid as it could be. But I wouldn't trade a second of it. I can still smell that t-shirt shop downtown a few hours after the game. They were selling these national championship t-shirts as fast as they could print them. They were literally hot off the press. As far as I know, those particular shirts were never sold anywhere else. So, if you ever see one of these shirts in the wild, you know they were there.
