. I am very suspicious when these allegations come out years later with a price tag.
Especially when they’re only pursued in civil court.

If one truly wants justice for being raped, you’d think the first logical step would be to go to the police and seek criminal charges. I think it’s fair to question the motives of an accuser who never even attempts to do that and instead only seeks money.

It is BS for sure, the whole I stayed and had a relationship with him but he raped me is very worn out at this point, especially 10 years later than it happened. If she shows real evidence then fine but he said/she said I put zero stock into. The financial abuse is the cherry on top.

The she files as Jane Doe and in Los Angeles court, the easiest courts in the country to manipulate. Why not give your real name in the accusation if it’s so real? Also why go straight for the money, if he committed such a heinous act where is the police reports or charges?
I mean if he goes to jail he can't play ball and earn that paycheck he would need for this civil case.

Not sure about any of these accusations but on the basketball side of things I never thought he would be a great player in the nba. He has turned out to be pretty good but I doubt he will ever be Barkley type player. That's who I thought he would play most like in the NBA.
I think most people thought he would be good but his body, especially his legs, feet, ankles, etc would not be able to hold up to a 275 pound man playing above the rim like he does. That has proven to be the case as he has only played more than 30 games twice in his NBA career and neither of those seasons did he play a full season.

Ahhhhhhhh, I really don't know. I'll reserve judgment til facts are known.

I will say that it definitely raises questions when civil suits are raised years after the fact. Why didn't she press charges criminally at the time of occurrence?

On the counterpoint, if she is a legitimate rape victim, that behavior isn't necessarily anomalous in that many rape victims feel guilty holding the attacking party liable and don't want to bring on the scrutiny. So, there is that too.

But I have no idea....obviously.

Yeah, I wouldn't want him on my team. Guy can't stay healthy.

He’s already made enough coin to pay her 18M, probably enough for double that.
If he is like a lot of professional athletes, regardless of how much he has made to this point, he probably has spent a good chunk of it on taxes, agents, family members that he is keeping up, strip clubs, nice cars, designer clothes and bling. Now could he have 18 million laying in a bank somewhere? Yeah it's possible but if so he is more financial savvy than most seem to be.

I’m sure he has but he’s made a lot of endorsement money too. I bet his has assets that could pay for it as well.

Here’s a quick search of his financials that are public.

Zion Williamson's net worth is substantial, driven by his NBA contract and endorsement deals. He signed a five-year, $193 million guaranteed rookie extension with the New Orleans Pelicans, potentially increasing to $231 million if he makes an All-NBA team. He also has a five-year, $75 million shoe deal with Jordan brand. While his precise net worth fluctuates, it's estimated to be in the millions, likely exceeding $50 million

He’s making 48M a year with the Pelicans and 15 a year from Jordan Brand every year now.

And I got called out hard on here for saying this would probably happen due to ankles and knees not holding up and he likes his Big Macs
