We are lucky to get him over those schools. They all have better records than us, and most made it to postseason play.

When Ladner got the head coaching job at Southeastern Louisiana, I thought Zuppardo was going there...

You forgot Washington and Wichita St. Purposefully, I'm sure. Only 6 trips to the Sweet 16 among his offers since the last time MSU went...

No, I was just reading the list that showed up on the 247 page. None of the schools you mentioned were listed. However, I didn't see the link that listed more.

I didn't have an ulterior motive, I just wasn't impressed with the list that I saw. Offers from Washington and Wichita do improve that list some,
so I withdraw my snark.

Ah... You just didn't click the "show all 9 interests" tab.

The 24/7 formula for basketball doesn't seem to put the "top offers" in the frontpage viewing list nearly as often as it does for football...

Doesn't that make him the 3rd Ray commitment that had an offer from Greg Marshall?

Good on Rick Ray ...

And with any luck, all four signees will show up and Ray will start the season with a full 13 scholly players. This will definitely help for next year. Don't recall too many SEC games when we scored more points in the second half than the other team.

Meanwhile, AK is 'cutting' at least four current players 'if' his two signees and three commits all make it to Oxford.

I just watched a little of his highlight video. We already knew he's a +40% 3 point shooter, but he also looked good down low, willing to get rough and had some decent moves. Funny how we were hearing otherwise from certain posters. With his size I feel pretty good about him being able to play at least serviceable defense on other 4's. Great all around pickup in my opinion. He could turn out to be a real steal.

I just hope he isn't another Borchert and his video says he isn't which is a good thing.

I have high expectations from Johnny Zuppardo but then I think that whenever a juco student-athlete who's taken classes at Southern Miss decides to attend Mississippi State.

I think he'll be what we initially thought we were getting with Borchert, a real combo forward. Borchert was basically a big 2.
