Alabama flips 4-star athlete Aeryn Hampton from Texas

Daingerfield (Texas) four-star athlete Aeryn Hampton has flipped his commitment from Texas to Alabama.
Hampton was committed to the Longhorns since July 7, but a late push from the Crimson Tide helped Nick Saban and Co. secure another blue-chip pledge.
The 5-foot-10, 175-pounder is the No. 232 overall prospect and No. 10 ATH in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 41 player in Texas.

Alabama was always neck-and-neck with Texas ahead of Hampton’s pledge to the Longhorns back in the summer. Both schools received June OVs and had him on campus more than any other programs. Saban went in-home with Hampton earlier this month and has now lured the four-star from Austin to Tuscaloosa.
Hampton has an On3 NIL Valuation of $110K. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
