On3 Consensus 4-star EDGE Jihaad Campbell commits to Alabama

On3 Consensus four-star EDGE Jihaad Campbell of Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy was originally committed to Clemson. But the departure of defensive coordinator Brent Venables caused him to back away from that pledge and it opened the door for Texas A&M and Alabama to become major players in his recruitment.
In the end, Campbell decided to commit to the Crimson Tide during Wednesday’s National Signing Day.
Campbell is ranked as the No. 55 player in the country, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. The On3 Consensus also ranks Campbell as the No. 4 EDGE in the country and the ninth-best player in Florida.
On3 ranks Campbell slightly higher than others in the industry. On3 has Jihaad Campbell as the No. 30 player in the country, third-best EDGE and No. 6 player in Florida.
