Ryan Williams injury update: Alabama WR in uniform during warmups

Multiple Alabama players need a massive bounce-back game against Louisiana-Monroe. One of them is wide receiver Ryan Williams, not having his best performance against Florida State. Unfortunately, Williams is dealing with a concussion.
Reports earlier on Saturday suggested Williams would miss the game. However, he emerged from the Alabama locker room for pregame warmups in full uniform. Maybe something to monitor from Bryant-Denn Stadium until the 6:45 p.m. CT kickoff.
“Ryan Williams is fully dressed out for the second portion of pregame warmups,” Blake Byler of On3’s BOL said via X.
Williams caught five passes against Florida State but only for 30 yards. His injury took place in the fourth quarter when Alabama was attempting to mount a comeback. A pass across the middle from quarterback Ty Simpson resulted in a big collision for Williams, who stayed down on the ground.
Alabama trainers wasted no time getting out there to tend to Williams. Shortly after, they were spotted walking off the field and directly back into the locker room. Williams did not return to the game. Even so, some did not come out of the game too impressed with the sophomore.
“He didn’t look good inside,” former Alabama QB AJ McCarron said. “Go back and anyone that wants to question what I’m talking about, go back and watch the film. When he was inside running routes, he looked terrified when he was running across the middle. Terrified to get hit.

“I’ll tell you the difference between him and DeVonta Smith. DeVonta Smith went across the middle and would catch balls. Ryan Williams does not want to go across the middle at all. He has a scared factor to him.”
UPDATE: Ryan Williams ruled out alongside running back Jam Miller
Alabama entered Saturday with a couple of major injury questions. Two offensive skill players were considered doubts — wide receiver Ryan Williams and running back Jam Miller. However, both took part in pregame warmups while wearing full uniforms. It was easy to wonder if they would wind up playing against Louisiana-Monroe.
Just ahead of kickoff, Kalen DeBoer quickly poured cold water on the situation. He revealed via the Crimson Tide Sports Network that neither Williams nor Miller would play. Major losses for the Crimson Tide, even if the expectation to walk away with a win is high.
Alabama wants to respond well with a win against ULM. However, next week against Wisconsin is where most eyes are being placed at the moment. Go an additional two weeks when the Crimson Tide head to Athens for a massive showdown against Georgia. Having a chance to do so will likely require Miller and Williams.
