WATCH: Arkansas football releases special hype video ahead of 2022 Liberty Bowl

With Arkansas set to take on Kansas in the Liberty Bowl on Wednesday, the Razorbacks released a hype video highlighting their 2022 season. The Hogs are looking to finish their season with a win over the Jayhawks on Wednesday in Memphis — and their social media team made sure to give their fans a little extra motivation to cheer them on.

“It’s your story. You’re gonna own your story,” said head coach Sam Pittman over the background of the video clips. The video continued with clips from their 2022 season before Pittman closed out his “pregame speech” to his players in incredibly motivating fashion.

“We are the University of damn Arkansas. Let’s go prove it. Let’s go show them.”

This year’s bowl game will be the 44th bowl appearance for Arkansas, with them having a chance to finish their 6-6 regular season with more wins than losses. It is also only the third time that the two schools have met each other on the football field — and the first time in over 100 years. The previous two matchups between the schools were in 1905 and 1906, with Arkansas losing both games.

The game will also be Arkansas’ sixth time playing in the Liberty Bowl specificall, and their first appearance since defeating Kansas State in 2016. The Liberty Bowl also marks the third straight year the Razorbacks have received a bowl game invite under Pittman, reaching a bowl game every year under their relatively new head coach.
