Arkansas to hire Florida State defensive backs coach Marcus Woodson

The Arkansas Razorbacks are expected to hire away Florida State defensive backs coach Marcus Woodson, according to On3’s Matt Zenitz. Woodson served as the defensive backs coach and defensive passing game coordinator for the Seminoles last season, and his contract with the team expired on Dec. 31 of last year.

Woodson has experience working alongside the newest defensive coordinator at Arkansas, Travis Williams, as both worked at Auburn from 2018-19. Woodson, a Mississippi native, served as defensive backs coach and recruiting coordinator for the Tigers while Williams was co-defensive coordinator and linebackers coach.

While Auburn seeks to rebuild under Hugh Freeze after a rough season, the Seminoles were largely expected to keep their staff in place from last season after a ten-win campaign.
