Arkansas offensive tackle Zuri Madison enters NCAA transfer portal

Arkansas offensive tackle Zuri Madison has entered the NCAA transfer portal, On3’s Pete Nakos has learned. He did so after spending one year with the Razorbacks.
Madison chose Arkansas out of high school over a number of high-level programs. They included Duke, Illinois, Kentucky, Miami, West Virginia and others.
Early in his career, Zuri Madison was slowed by injuries. He had one spring practice ruined by a knee injury, which slowed his development on the field a good deal.
Prior to enrolling at Arkansas, Zuri Madison was ranked as a three-star prospect and the No. 811 overall recruit in the 2024 recruiting class, according to the On3 Industry Rankings. He also checked in as the No. 71 player at his position and the No. 6 overall player in the state of Kentucky, hailing from Lexington (KY) Frederick Douglass.
Arkansas set to lose Madden Iamaleava
Zuri Madison isn’t the only player looking to head out from the program this spring. Madden Iamaleava has told Arkansas‘ staff that he plans to join his older brother, Nico, at UCLA, according to ESPN’s Chris Low. Both quarterbacks are transferring in from the SEC.

Madden Iamaleava was set to begin his college football career at Arkansas, but on Monday it was reported that he planned to enter the NCAA transfer portal. It took only a few hours for the report of his transfer to UCLA to hit social media.
Arkansas head coach Sam Pittman spoke to the progression he’s seen in Madden Iamaleava during the spring slate. He says that Iamaleava has come along well, especially since he didn’t participate in high school football last fall, with them expecting that to continue into this next season for the Razorbacks.
“He’s done really well, especially coming off his – you know, he didn’t play his senior year,” said Pittman. “Very mature. Well-coached out of high school. And, but, yeah, I think he’s made a ton of improvement and I think you’ll see that throughout the rest of the spring and then, you know, the summer and, and fall camp.”
On3’s Barkley Truax also contributed to this report.
