Arkansas lands former five-star wide receiver in transfer portal
Arkansas football has landed Oklahoma transfer Jadon Haselwood in the transfer portal. The former five-star wide receiver announced the move Sunday afternoon on social media.
The six-foot-three sophomore out of Ellenwood, GA starred for the Sooners in 2021 after limited action over his first two seasons. He has played in and registered at least one catch every game for Oklahoma this season. On the year he has 39 receptions, for 399 yards, and six touchdowns. Haselwood is averaging 10.2 yards per reception and only has two receptions greater than 20 yards this season.
Jadon Haselwood joins Sam Pittman’s Arkansas squad with multiple years of eligibility remaining.

“It was a childhood dream of mine to be a Sooner and I’m blessed to have been able to live that out. I am proud of the growth I’ve had during my time at Oklahoma and I look forward to building on that next season in a new program,” said Haselwood.

Nick Saban praises Sam Pittman
When Sam Pittman was hired, Arkansas was coming off the poorest two-year stretch in program history under Chad Morris. Even then, Pittman was not considered an inspirational hire, being Georgia’s offensive line coach at the time.
After going just 3-7 overall while playing an SEC-only schedule last season, Arkansas has significantly turned things around in 2021. The Razorbacks are now 8-4 on the year with a 4-4 mark in SEC play and rivalry wins over Texas, Texas A&M, LSU and Missouri.
In less than two seasons, hope is back in Fayetteville. The Razorbacks reached as high as No. 8 in the AP poll and they are heading to the Outback Bowl to face Penn State on New Year’s Day.
Before they faced off, Alabama head coach Nick Saban had nothing but praise for Pittman.
“Sam Pittman has done a fantastic job, I think, with this team in the two years that he’s been there,” Saban said ahead of their matchup. “They’re probably as improved as much from last year to this year as anybody in the country. They’ve had some great wins over some very good SEC teams. They’ve got really good players.”
