Charlotte (N.C.) Providence Day School four-star offensive tackle David Sanders received an offer from Auburn on Friday. He announced the news over social media.

Sanders is the No. 2 overall prospect and No. 1 offensive tackle in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 1 player in North Carolina.

The 6-foot-6, 240-pound recruit holds 20 offers. He has already taken visits to multiple programs, including Clemson, Georgia, NC State and South Carolina.

His play earlier this season received praise from On3’s Director of Scouting and Rankings Charles Power.

“David Sanders debuted as a member of On3’s 2025 Top 100 Watch List last week,” Power wrote. “The 6-foot-6, 240-pound sophomore was highly impressive in Providence Day’s win, lining up at both offensive tackle and defensive end. Sanders showed off plus movement skills and feet in pass protection. He was also quite disruptive as a pass rusher, registering a sack and several pressures that we saw. The stamina and athleticism to perform so well on both sides of the ball is not something we typically see from many offensive linemen, particularly underclassmen.”

Auburn has no commitments in its 2025 recruiting class. Meanwhile, the Tigers’ 2023 class contains 21 pledges and ranks No. 16 in the 2023 On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Rankings, as well as No. 7 in the SEC.

Sanders has an On3 NIL Valuation of $88K. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
