Former Colorado State wide receiver, San Diego State transfer Louis Brown IV commits to Baylor

Former Colorado State wide receiver and San Diego State transfer Louis Brown IV has found a new home via the NCAA Transfer Portal. On3 has learned he’s committed to join Baylor for the 2025 season.
Brown IV played high school football at Inglewood (Inglewood, CA), where he was a three-star prospect. He was the No. 1935 overall recruit in the 2022 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
He started his collegiate career with the Rams, before joining the Aztecs ahead of the 2024 campaign. All in all, Brown has amassed 97 receptions, 1,199 yards and eight touchdowns over his two stops.
As for Baylor, Brown is the eighteenth transfer they’ve brought in this offseason. It has them at No. 17 in the On3 Transfer Portal Rankings, with a score of 23 in the On3’s Team Transfer Portal Index.
The On3’s Team Transfer Portal Index utilizes the On3 (P)erformance score to measure a team’s production during the transfer process, compared relative against its roster and not a comparison against other schools. This proprietary algorithm determines if a school has improved its overall team talent, stayed the same, or declined in talent during the transfer window.

Last season was a solid one for the Bears, as they went 8-5. They couldn’t end their season with a win though, as they fell in the Texas Bowl to LSU by a score of 44-31. However, they were on a six-game winning-streak before that loss.
We’ll see if Louis Brown IV can aid in Baylor’s quest to return to the top of the Big 12. It’s an all-important season for Dave Aranda and company, and they’ve made strides with their roster via the transfer portal this offseason, as you can tell.
