4-star ATH Jordan Young schedules an official visit to Clemson

Clemson does things a little differently. Dabo Swinney offers recruits a little later than others. He and his staff offer a smaller group each cycle. The ACC program doesn’t bring recruits in every weekend it is allowed to. In June, the big month for official visits on the recruiting calendar, Clemson brings recruits in on one weekend and that will be May 31-June 2 this year.
Add another elite name to that list. Jordan Young has locked in an official visit for that weekend and if he doesn’t make it back to Death Valley this spring, it will be his fourth time on campus.
“The way Clemson keeps in contact, the relationship I have with the coaches, their winning program, and development of players keep me going back to Clemson,” Young told On3. “My connection with the staff is great. The coach I have the connection with is safeties coach Mickey Conn.”

Other coaches and staff members have built a bond with Young too. One is the head coach.
“Coach Swinney is a top tier coach. He is probably the best coach in all of college football right now. He is very transparent and very big on graduation and academics.”
Young is planning to take numerous official visits this summer as he works towards a decision before his senior year. Alabama, Florida State, North Carolina, NC State and Tennessee are some of the other schools Young is considering for official visits. The Tigers head into the spring a strong contender for the playmaker out of Monroe (N.C.).
“Clemson is a top three school for me right now for sure,” Young said.
Young is the No. 2 prospect in North Carolina, No. 2 athlete in the country and the No. 53 prospect in the On3 Industry Ranking.
