Tampa (Fla.) Wharton four-star running back Stacy Gage received an offer from Colorado on Sunday night. He announced the news over social media.

Gage is the No. 87 overall prospect and No. 7 running back in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 16 player in Florida.

A Buffaloes offer to the 5-foot-10.5, 205-pound prospect comes within the first few days of new head coach Deion Sanders‘ tenure in Boulder. On Sunday morning, Sanders landed a commitment from Fort Meyers (Fla.) IMG Academy four-star wide receiver Winston Watkins Jr., a member of the class of 2025.

According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, it is a very close race for Gage’s commitment. The two schools with the highest odds, as of now, are Florida (21.1%) and Ohio State (18.4%).

RPM was released to the public in December. The On3 engineering group teamed up with Spiny.ai to create the industry’s first algorithm and machine learning-based product to predict where athletes will attend college.

It factors in machine learning, social sentiment, visits and historical trends. However, expert predictions are still a big piece of the RPM equation.

Colorado currently has one commitment in its 2024 recruiting class. Compton (Calif.) Leuzinger three-star wide receiver Daijon Calimon chose the Buffaloes on Dec. 3.

Gage has an On3 NIL Valuation of $99K. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
