Deion Sanders calls out Nick Saban, praises Miss Terry on ESPN College GameDay

Colorado coach Deion Sanders joined the ESPN College GameDay crew on Saturday ahead of a game against a ranked Kansas State team, but before the crew could get to talking much football, Nick Saban had some good-natured ribbing to do.
Turning to his AFLAC commercial colleague, Saban peppered Sanders with a personal question.
“Deion, I’ve got to ask you, man, how’s the fishing?” Saban said with a wry grin. “Because the last time you and I went fishing it didn’t go so well for you.”
Deion Sanders immediately started smiling ear to ear as he pondered his response. The joke, of course, referred to an AFLAC commercial where the two have wildly different results fishing.
“First of all, three things for you, coach,” Sanders said. “No. 1, the fishing ain’t good. I don’t fish here, I coach here. No. 2, you stunted on the whole set. They didn’t even get that. They asked you what car dealership, you say, ‘Mercedes and Lamborghini.’ That was a stunt. That’s the way to do it, coach. I love it. That’s the way to do it, coach!
“And third, I forgive you for last week, but my favorite, Miss Terry, had my back. I love you. I love you, Miss Terry! I love you!”

While joining ESPN’s College GameDay as a guest-picker two weeks ago, Miss Terry picked Colorado to beat UCF. Nick Saban picked UCF to win.
Deion Sanders’ Colorado would go on to win in blowout fashion.
“And she got on me because I didn’t (pick Colorado),” Saban said. “I want you to know that, too.”
As for Colorado, the Buffaloes have been cruising since that big win over the Knights. They entered the bye week with a lot of confidence, and now they’ll be looking to parlay that extra week of rest into a win over a ranked Kansas State squad.
Saban asked Deion Sanders for one key to the game for Colorado.
“We’ve got to tackle. We’ve got to tackle,” Sanders said. “We can’t have missed tackles. Penalties. Penalties. This team is not penalized much at all. We’ve got to match that. We’ve got to match that. We can’t do the dumb, stupid penalties before the ball even snap. We can’t have those type of penalties. I understand if it’s in the flow of the game, but the pre-snap penalties are just ignorant and idiotic. We cannot go out there and beat ourselves. We’ve got to make them beat us.”
