WATCH: Deion Sanders gives recruiting pitch for Colorado at NFL Honors

Deion Sanders did not stop recruiting for Colorado even though he was present at the 2023 NFL Honors.
While Sanders presented the NFL Coach of the Year Award, he paused and decided to give a worldwide audience a recruiting pitch. Sanders already changed Colorado without even coaching a down yet.
But “Coach Prime” never stops apparently.
“I would be remiss if I didn’t take this opportunity to recruit,” Sanders said on stage. “I got the Bosa’s, the Watt’s, Jerry (Jones) said I can borrow the (Cowboys) star. Jimmy Johnson says he’s gonna help me out. I need all of your cousins, your mamas, your cousins, your nephews, send them all to Colorado, we good? Alright. Don’t have no NIL money either, by the way.”

“This place is unbelievable,” Sanders said. “I think you see that. And I believe that. It’s not even work to me. This is pure joy, to get up and come to pure joy every day in smiling faces from the cafeteria, all the way walking on the floors when you get in an elevator with different persons, that’s one of my most enjoyable moments. It’s sitting in the cafeteria and seeing the other sports participants eating and sitting together and that’s one of my most memorable moments because I can see everybody.
“I went to the lacrosse game this week. I couldn’t stay long because we had some big time recruits in the house. But that was beautiful. And I actually picked up a stick and threw the ball. I should have got into lacrosse like Jim Brown, I think I would’ve been nice with it. A brother with a stick? Oh, that’s something ain’t it?”
